Halal only outlets

where are the bleeding heart animal right brigade when you need them ?

realised how ignorant some of the people in this thread are and stayed clear?

once again the animal suffers no more than the traditional batteries...

If you can proove otherwise feel free, but under EU regulations the chickens have to be stunned before killed, a lot of the poultry coming here (and to Saudi oddly enough) is killed in France where it is a requirement to stun the animal first.
I can confirm this because my uncle owns a butchers shop

But hey, don't let a little thing like facts get in the way of biggoted rants

Halal meat is made in a way to drain away blood which has many diseases and causes diseases in people who eat meat in which blood has not been drained. It is also meat that does not spoil as quickly.

Actually the way normal animals are killed drains the blood too.

iirc the bolt gun destroys the hemispheres of the brain effectively making the animal brain dead but leaving the brain stem intact so the heart continues to beat to force the blood out.

But anyway.

You clearly cannot trust anyone who refuses to eat bacon.

You're god hates you by denying you the greatest of meats :p

I dont like halal but..

Why doesnt someone say to the mayor that mcdonalds is discriminating against muslims for not serving halal?

(sorry if its been brought up before :P)

It's impossible to serve halal and pork products in the same restaurant, therefore it is halal that is discriminating against McDonalds in this instance.

I'm lost. How on earth is this in any way discriminatory?

Haven't read the thread. Bad, I know.

you always have had them, most of the takeaways you eat, including the doner kebab on a friday are halal, and are halal only.

My normal choice of take away is not halal. I can categorically assure you of that.

You are completely and utterly bonkers.

My brother's been to a halal factory. For it to have any kind of reasonable production, the prayer was a just a tape played on a loudspeaker while they do the slaughtering.

Which most would say, does not qualify as halaal because they might have slaughtered 3-4 animals by the time the prayer on tape is even read once!

When we talk about halaal food, it is not only the manner in which the animal is killed. Keeping them locked up in cages all day, pumping them full of steriods/drugs and other nasty chemicals to fatten them up, is all totally and utterly haraam (forbidden) in Islam.

Animals should be treated with kindness and should be looked after. They should not be killed for pleasure or for sport. When they are killed and that is for the purpose of food, it is done by cutting the throat to drain the blood from the body while reciting a prayer.

Just because when you stun an animal and don't 'see' any blood, doesn't mean cutting the neck is inhumane, it's just the very sight of blood that some ppl find disturbing.

I would say it is almost impossible to find ANY halaal meat in the UK, because the animals are kept in conditions which are forbidden and then pumped with all sorts of chemicals which again is forbidden, all for the sake of profit ofcourse, and then they are slaughtered in a very questionable manner.

So why is it then that apart from for religious reasons it is not an acceptable method of slaughter in the UK? And that is completely aside from the absolute rubbish reasons some people give to try and justify why pork is haram.

To be honest, I couldn't give a monkeys how meat; that I have no physical attachment too what so ever apart from the fact I will be digesting it in a matter of minutes, is killed, and I don't think many other people would care if they had better things to think about.

It all boils down to people justifying actions to ease their conscience one way or another.
