It's a mod, it doesn't have a release date because they probably have absolutely no idea when they'll be finished with it.

The way some mods pan out, we might see Half Life 3 before this is finished

HL2 was the game that started my steam account 18 years ago . Also the first game I played after building my first PC and I remember being blown away by it. I might just have to upgrade my 1070ti for this...

Me too - i remember a friend telling me you download this thing called Steam and you buy games off of it - i was like wtf is it a Napster like thing for games - is it legal?! I want a DVD!

Same here, I got a code for a free copy of the game with my Radeon GPU. However the game ended up delayed a while, so think it was months before I could end up playing it.
