***Han Solo movie***

OK

from the toys - it seems that the panels come off and look like the falcon underneath, and the front bit is some kind of escape pod or small ship that must get lost / flies away in this film

I *still* can't believe they saw probably hundreds of actors for the Solo part and this guy is the best they could come up with. STILL.

Yeah he isn't selling it for me - was on the fence with the earlier trailer but this latest one there is only superficial moments where I feel the connection. The rest potentially is good - some of the other actors are great choices.

There is a deadness to this actor's face between delivering lines while Ford's (original) portrayal has expression even in the more serious moments he had that sideways smirk that flitted between almost pleading to be loved to supercilious in the same instance.

The deadheads will mop it up, it'll do decent but not great business.

TFA - had issues but was pretty good overall (helped reading the supporting comics which explained some of the back story - stuff that really should have been in the movie)
Rogue One - pretty good
TLJ - Took all the good stuff from TFA, threw it away and decided to double down on the dum dums

This, to me, looks like it could be fun. Something missing from the above three. Will certainly give it a chance with the other deadheads.
Think people expect too much just because it's got star wars in the title. Those rose tinted specs are great and all but as movies they're hardly Citizen Kane or Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan.

Runs off

Interesting did not realise Cunningham was directing.

Don't know if directing is the right word. Salvaging something that was started by someone else, maybe.

As someone else has said, he's directed some rubbish as well, so we'll see how good he is at polishing a turd. Can be done, but takes some dedication. ;)
