Harmless 39 year old alcoholic woman tortured and beaten to death by girls aged 13 and 14.

While i agree on here with many that execution would be too much, i would agree with other forms of harsh punishment.

As for those saying treat it like a mental illness, while i agree that they need to be treated one way or another, they should definitely not just be sent to an easy few years at a psych ward only to be released later after a few years of behaving. Punishment is not just to deter criminals and potential criminals but to protect everyone else. If you make the punishment easy, the deterrent and therefore protection of others are at risk.

Send all the really crazy ones to an island to live/duke it out amongst themselves.

It is, however, justice.

It's difficult to think what else would constitute justice, after two teenagers have brutally tortured and bludgeoned to death a defenseless drunkard.

All the while giggling and taking selfies, before using the police as a taxi service to take them home from the crime scene.

They've showed no remorse, they are obviously extremely disturbed individuals, and they have /no future/ in society at all.

Nobody will want to employ them, ever. Nobody will want them living anywhere near them. They are effectively now a burden to the tax payer for the rest of their lives.

Hanging them /would/ be justice. Deterrent or not.

I also feel that blanket statements like "capital punishment is no deterrent" cannot obviously be true in all cases. Those girls seem to believe that they will now spend time in prison with free Playstation, Sky TV, etc. Wonder if they'd have casually murdered her if they were instead facing the noose.
 
Just heard about this for the first time, that is truly horrible.

I'm no lefty apologist, but what could happen in two girls lives that would lead them to this? I mean I get it, some people are just scum, but we all start at a blank slate, what did it take to get them to end up the way they did.

I'd be in favour of the death penalty if it still existed, honestly I just don't think there is any "coming back" from the way they are now.

If rehabilitation is possible then that would be my first choice.

These two vile creatures should be destroyed.

As already said, they will just be a drain on society for the rest of their lives.

They probably actually did this to get put away in a cushy young offenders institute and play PlayStation. Unfortunately, this is exactly what will happen. We will probably hear about them complaining that they don't have the latest games at some point.

Punishment just doesn't exist anymore. God forbid we impinge on the human rights of two evil creatures responsible for the torture and death of a defenceless woman.

If they were rehabilitated, I wouldn't mind. Thats the definition of the word.

Whether rehabilitation is possible in all cases, is a different question.
 
I think the same of them as John Venables and Robert Thompson. They should be thrown in a canal, inside a sack of rocks.

Society crumbled about 15 years ago when Labour made it easy to not work by having a shed load of kids and live on a council sink estate entirely at the expense of the taxpayer................

Few quotes from a few posts, totally agree that capital punishment should be bought back.

Also, these two are animals. And I wholeheartedly agree that they should be destroyed.

It's the least amount of effort I could think of than something instantaneous. I've drowned before and it ****ing hurts.

I don't know all the details but from what I've read about it, they knew what they were doing was wrong (who wouldn't?), they seemed to enjoy it, and at no point felt any remorse.

They're just plain evil little turds and there's no point in even trying to rehabilitate them. They'll just do the minimum required in years to come in order to convince a parole board they're reformed. But then what?

Far better for all concerned to stick em in a bag and see if they can quickly evolve to develop gills.
 
Expect more harm to come from them, just a shame someone will have to suffer again in the future before they are locked away for good.
 
A shame that we don't use the methods to punish people like they did in the Middle Ages. Some of those contraptions would deal these 2 scumbags the worst pain they have ever felt in their lives. Maybe something comparable to the amount of pain and suffering they inflicted on this poor woman.

Rehabilitation is a joke especially for people this damned evil. Personally I'd flay them with razor blades till their skins fell off.

Where would it end, an eye for an eye, peoples hands cut off for stealing... Unlike some countries we've moved on from barbaric punishments.
