Harry and Meghan to resign

It isn't their house in the first place, it's the estates, even the Queen doesn't own it realistically, in name at most.
For all practical purposes it was done up for them, based on their tastes, their needs, their wishes (I believe).

So it was 2m spent for them, if not spent on them (exactly).

And no one else is going to be using it are they. It is/was reserved for their use.

This just posted on a friends FB. For all the comments on them this seems the only one with any knowledge of Harry at least.

"Harry was my Troop Leader in the army and severed with him in Afghanistan. He is a top gentlemen and one of the best officers I have served with. His brother William who served in my regiment was different and you could tell he was a member of royal family. But Harry was more like anyone of us, so I can see why he has chosen to do what he is doing."

Had it not been Harry and Meghan, it might have been someone else given residence there, either way even if their residence increased the need to refurbish, it was always going to be done. Blaming it on the current residents is a bit anal, and more than a tad opportunistic when they haven't been 'model' servants.

Folks can't be fair-weather Republican's when it suits them.

Feels like an Edward and Mrs Simpson
- The Sequel - situation with a North American socialite causing a rift between two Royal brothers and one eventually quits being a Royal to be with her.

I'm happy for them to both quit, but if that's their final decision then it's should be fully quitting, no more duties but no more pay/perks, a complete "formal" cut-off but obviously still allowed to visit family in private and away from public events etc.

Pretty much all his net worth is from public funds, take it off him and let him be independent... See how long it takes for them to break up and for him to come begging for forgiveness.

As in, your friend was actually posting about his experience of serving under Harry, or is this just some crap that's doing the rounds on FB?

As long as they bring a nice bottle of wine over to make sure they're not benefitting from 'royal' money :p

It makes sense really, William is the one that has to be King eventually, he was groomed for it after Diana died by the Queen.

So I assume Harry could be somewhat more liberal with his proclivities.

Funnily enough my missus said the same thing to me last night, that this is similar to the scandal way back when Edward has to abdicate the throne in order to be with his American wife.

But completely agree with your last part. If he and his wife really want to be independent and not have anything to do with being royals. Then put your money where your mouth is and rid themselves of their titles and all the trappings and wealth that go with it being part of the royal family.
On a side note I do like Harry, much more than his brother who seems to be royal through and through although I like him as well.

A friend had started a post basically slagging Megan off and his friend chipped in with that post. Seems legit as the comment was liked several times and commented on by the original poster and they are clearly proper friends not just FB friends.

You sound a bit confused :D

Well I could probably take a dump and stick a photo on FB and it would get a few likes. If the post can be verified as legit then fair enough, but in case people haven't worked it out by now a lot of stuff on FB is just there to manipulate them.

I dont understand what all the whining about Megan is for? she seems a tidy bird and has left a fairly significant career to be with ginger pubes.
Seems legit ok to me.
