I've always got that impression (see the OP). To be honest, given the history with his mum, I find it astonishing that the public can't see why he's so protective of his wife in that awful tabloid goldfish bowl.
I think they deserve immense respect for standing up to it. And they refuse to fade into obscurity with bags of money; good on them for shining a light on it all.
Seems more like they're milking it these days, as a journalist pointed out recently you don't get that sort of coverage anymore, the photos that get released are generally public appearances etc.. certainly when the Royal children are concerned.
They're selling their royal association for the money required to get slightly close to that. Can farm that for the rest of their lives because Harry is the only person to have been a senior royal that is likely to accept cash for family gossip.
Wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the family refuses to have a meaningful conversation with him ever again. How can you talk to your own relative if you know they're compromised into selling information on family affairs.
Pretty much. He's worth low 8 figures, even if cut off they could have lived in a large 7-figure house in California (in a gated community if they'd so desired) and she's have somewhat of an upgrade to her TV actress lifestyle without either of them having to work again.
Instead, they've gone for the large 8 figure mansion and they seem to want more of an A-List lifestyle, that requires some serious paychecks to sustain if they want staff, drivers, private security etc.
He doesn't seem too bright, he only got 2 A-Levels (a B in Art and D in Geography) despite going to one of the best schools in the country and it's alleged that a teacher helped him cheat in Art.
I do wonder if he will regret throwing his family under the bus, time is on the side perhaps of the Royal family, they're going to attract publicity regardless and maybe have an advantage playing the long game, in 10 years time Royals visiting some country is still going to be big news, but in 10 years time is anyone going to be interested in yet another interview about how some Royal may or may not have done a racism in talking about the skin colour of the baby or how Megan had mental health issues at the Palace and found it difficult to settle in? I guess the Kardashians have managed to string out being famous for being famous but they're a bit marmite as a result.
