has anyone used digital rev?

They are US imports, however the reciept is from a UK registered company. Dispatch from the UK, never have to worry about customs, import duty or VAT.

Ah I see, the warranty is based on the receipt from where you bought it from, rather than the serial number or some such.

lol thought this thread would be a quick one. going to purchase a lens through digital rev in a few weeks, never bought the camera i originally wanted in the end, went for a d3200 instead of the fujifilm hs30exr.

Arrived from Digital Rev yesterday:

I'm blown away by the noise performance compared to my 7D, even at high ISOs its like "Where is the noise?"

Should get a proper chance to test it out later this week with a number of the events going on for the Olympics.

With the actual buying experience, I didn't get it quite as quick as I would have hoped. I placed the order on Sunday night, which was before the start of Hong Kong's Monday and it stated that everything I had ordered was in stock and shipped within 24 hours.

On Tuesday our time, I got a call from Digital Rev to do a security check to make sure that I had actually placed the order and could verify who I was. At this stage though, it was now nearly 36 hours since I'd placed the order, so hardly shipped in 24 hours. I can understand them needing to do security checks though, so perhaps if I was already a customer with them it might not of happened. The Customer Service Representative said it would now be processed and indeed the status of the order changed to reflect that it was being packed in the warehouse. However, it now remained at this stage for another two days and didn't ship until Thursday afternoon Hong Kong time. My only thought was that despite the security check, perhaps they wait just to check that the money isn't claimed back from the Credit Card company.

The shipping itself with DHL was very quick and arrived in the UK Friday morning and was out for delivery by the afternoon. I was totally let down though because the usual Porter guy who tends to accept deliveries in my building wasn't about, so the Courier just left, he didn't even bother to ring my flat or leave a card! As soon as I saw that on the tracking, I phoned up DHL and the Operator said she would straight away call the Driver as he was still nearby. She came back and said that he couldn't come back and his phone then cut off and could only apologise for him not bothering to call my flat. I then couldn't pick it up because the depot is closed all weekend. Pretty rubbish then for their speedy service to be messed up by the last man in the chain!

I'd certainly recommend and use Digital Rev again, may pickup some lenses from them in future.

So how much did you end up paying? Just what they advertise?

ordered my new lens from them early hours of sat morning, was shipped and arrived 9.30am monday. was very impressed on how fast delivery was considering it came from HK, also impressed how well they packed it! i have enough bubble wrap to last me the year.

Ordered a 24-105 f4L from them off Ebay a couple of years ago ,I ended up having to pay vat etc on it but I was refunded the amount swiftly, I am very tempted to sell my Nex kit and get a 5d iii from them to play with or maybe a d800
