Haswell -E Core i7-5960X, 5930K, 5820K specifications

As for cancer? tell me, have you ever had a loved one or close family member die of cancer? have you watched it?

Freedom of speech innit? if you get the dictionary changed I'd be happy to use another word to describe your contribution to this thread.

You can post here as much as you want for me I was just pointing out that your constant negativity is boring everyone who is genuinely interested in X99 and probably preventing further discussion as you'll just jump on anything positive with your negative twists, I've avoided the thread because you've pretty much singlehandedly hijacked it and others have probably done the same.

You could have used your freedom of speech to make your own "why I think X99 is overpriced rubbish" thread but you'd have been all alone apart a few of your AMD buddies.

i wouldn't say it's boring, it's negative behaviour from someone that's quite an inquisitive and intelligent person....Andy is putting too much effort into argueing and not enough into testing rigs, which he's good at

Fantastic troll post Mal, lol :D
Andy, inquisitive and intelligent. Lol, not even subtle, 10/10 for troll.

ha ha, it's time to varnish another GPU. ;)

lol.

Bottom line is the only people I'm annoying are -

1. Those looking to sell Haswell E
2. Those looking to buy Haswell E.

I'm not even being overly negative, just real.

Whatever man, get on with it. Did I say that your positivity annoys the crap out of me?

Turkeys voting for Xmas.

You're being real, but everything you've said about pricing is wrong? So therefore it's not real, it's just negativity.

Nothing is right or wrong until they release.

I said the 5930k was going to be more expensive than the 4930k. People were saying it's the same in dollars as the 4930k, then Gibbo says exchange rates are bad.

Hint......

So we'll see I guess.

Any way, as for the pricing? there is nothing positive to say.

You had the 5820 at over 400 quid, it's going to be ~300.
The 5930's going to cost ~450 (Which is basically what the 3930/4930 launched at), where you've said it's looking like it'll launch at 600. You then changed your mind to 480 pound (Not that launching at 480 pound is a bad thing, or a 480 pound guess is a bad thing, but that's only because you knew you were wrong and try to save face)

I've pretty much been firm on 300-350 (Which is still probably OTT, it's likely ~300-~330)

Meh. Nobody is right or wrong until the parts launch and we've seen prices.

YOU are speculating in the same way I am.

Remember when the Titan was going to be £800 yet, oddly when it launched it was £960 on certain websites ?

So I'll wait and see.

I'd feel pretty safe about going on record saying that OCUk's price of the 5820/5930 won't be the 400/600 you suggested.

Hell, I'd put money on it.

No doubt you'll claim some sort of victory from a competitor with hyper inflated stock.

I didn't suggest it !

I took a hint some one gave. That's all.

The AMD event was as usual a bit of a letdown, same CPU's re-branded once more, amazing that they can keep selling the same CPU's in different boxes every year.

Anyway this has got me thinking X99 will probably last for years, AMD will probably still be selling re packaged FX chips when Intel has 14nm 8 core Broadwell -E.

Obviously AMD are years away from anything even near worthwhile in terms of CPU's so with that in mind X99 is the way forward, hopefully I have enough funds to move onto X99 in Sept. Guess my Z97 + 4790K will be on MM very soon :D

Yep agree with this. There's a tiny chance that AMD's new CPU architecture, that's rumoured to release in 2016, will be extremely good and catchup/completely overtake all Intel's offerings. Though I believe that chance to be several thousand billion to one, so I'll be upgrading to X99 in September also, most likely ;)

To beat Intel you would need to spend several thousand billion. Just like they have.

Making top end fast products is about putting the money in.

AMD's CPUs are still selling. They're not competitive at the very top end but they don't need to be to make money and stay in business.

AMD have taken on Intel (and won) before. It nearly made them go bankrupt.

I don't understand why people don't understand that. Yes, AMD's CPUs are as stale as a piece of bread left in the hot sun for a month. But end of the day they're still spinning coins so why stop now?

The fact that I basically ignore any of their reboxed rubbish says it all. Their best product in the desktop market is the 8320, closely followed by the 6300.
