Ah that's weird, well at least we are both sorted now:)

what sort of clocks are you getting Wiry?

Quick run of Cinebench earlier @ 4.5GHz. I left strap alone, 1.31V on core. I'll have a go with the strap later :D

I've also tightened the avexir's timings a little, running them at 2666MHz CL12... I'm going to have a play at tuning them later also.

Nice scores guys. Not sure its the exact same with x99 , but z97 and prior liked tight ram and a decent ring/uncore/catch speed to match the clock. Thats what brings the best results in general.

Boom are you using strap (125) to overclock? have you noticed any issues playing games or benchmarking?

The issue i have is that while using strap 125 helps me overclock, if i run any benchmarks like firestrike etc, on the gpu test it crashes :(

No mate, to get to 4.5Ghz I just change the multi to 4.5 on all cores, +0.200v on the auto voltage, + 1.15 vring. Then a little bump on the other voltages.

Rgr that,

I've started again, didn't touch the ram as that seems to be causing most of my issues.

left it @2133, cpu host@100mhz, cpu vrin @1.900, cpu vcore @1.3200 (max i'm happy with until we know more)

Got to 4.6 before it crashed in windows, happy with 4.5 on six cores, i then set about overclocking the memory, dram volts @1.35, memory @2666mhz 16-16-16-36.

No issues so far, will keep tightening the timings and see how that goes.

Edited- Memory now at 14-14-14-36

Found the sweet spot for my setup.

Leave all settings on default 'Optimized'.

Then change all cores turbo to > 4.4Ghz.

Then just set voltage to 'normal' +0.0200v.

Gives up to 1.35v.

No need to change anything else !

Awesome :D

IntelBurnTest all cores under 80c.

I will give more info later on the exact setings, but all I did was CPU/Turbo to 47X and LLC to extreme, vcore set to 1.31v
