Having some fun today with getting voltages as low as possible whilst retaining a 4Ghz Core+Cache overclock. DDR3 at 3200Mhz CL14 @1.4v. :)

Core voltage 1.000v-1.015v
Cache voltage 1.060v (1.035v in bios)

V ID says one volt but Vcore says 1.7 there ;).

Test the memory / cache properly man! This is all terribly lax lol. Seems like a very nice chip though.

Ps. Don't run HW monitor along side AI suite or you're just going to get polling errors, the readings will mean nothing dude

I have HwInfo64 running as well and that confirms the values are correct. :)

Hi guys,

Having some issues with AI Suite 3. I've abandoned it for any overclocking but i still like it for fan control. I had the "turbo app" set up such that it would switch from quiet preset to turbo preset upon launching bf4.exe. For whatever reason, this has stopped working.

I have set the power option to "auto" as per the instructions. It says turbo app "on", "activated setting for --". If i attempt to create any instruction for any .exe and it never does anything.

Prior to manual overclocking this worked fine. Is there some setting in the bios that will overriding this?

Your problems are not after the PC has woken from sleep is it ?

Not tried presets, but I am having problems with Q-fan and sleep.
After the PC has woken from sleep, It spins them up to 100% and you cant do anything with them till you reboot.

What motherboard are you using ?

I'm using the x99 deluxe. It's not related to sleep. It just doesn't work full stop. Annoyingly though it used to so I know it can...

I might try a full uninstall via the instructions at rog and then reset BIOS, then reinstall software and test. If that works I'll try reloading my oc profile and see if it plays ball.

Something has gone squiffy. The fan presets themselves work fine, it just won't toggle depending on progam.

So you got it rigged up then mate?

Thoughts/regrets? :eek::p:D

No regrets...Flogged my my 5650 tonight..mobo and 6gb ram sold.. and just working upgrade cost out...

Will be around £345 outlay so no regrets....as money was going out...money was coming in...

Looking forward to clocking over the weekend...At stock on the H80 I'm getting 22c idle and 40c load

All good then mate. Well I'm gonna upgrade as well pretty soon. My X58 rig runs so well though not sure I want to sell it to be honest as the chip is such a nice one. It would make a really nice swap for my current hackintosh rig I have so I think that's what's gonna be done. So the outlay will be quite a bit more than you but ain't that bothered as it all goes down as a business expense. :D
