***Haswell -E Owners Thread***

Now I've flogged my xonar and mobo and ram and chip it's defo worth the upgrade mate....

It's juicy :D

It is nice to see you actually decided to upgrade your rig mate to a Haswell-E and your happy
you did the upgrade and not regret it.

A few pages back it was like you where taking the p**s out of the platform saying there is no
performance difference really to be had upgrading to a Haswell-E compared to your x58 rig.

Yeah I guess if you can sell your old stuff and get a few quid back its not so bad. Even if you don't the outlay is not that bad if your going to keep it like we did X58. Should keep you sorted (if going by x58) 5-6 years easy!

You'll just need to upgrade the gfx every now and then when the good stuff comes out.

Nice to hear you can feel the difference with normal use.

I'm definitely upgrading now as you've done it! Haha

;)

Hey Easyrider - glad to see you have joined the Haswell E club. Seems you are enjoying the discovery of clocking on this platform, can be tricky and take a bit of work. Fun though.

Easyrider, do you have a turbo mode setting or similar in the bios on your board? When I had enable it on mine,
I got a 4.0GHz CPU speed from it out of the box without any manual overclocking needing done by my myself.

I had first set XMP profile for my memory then enabled the turbo mode.

Passing my Haswell -E build onto the kids as moving down to mini ITX.

Wanted to go smaller for a while and now have to as tower is big for new desk lol. I'll move back if we ever see a mini iTX X99..
