I've been following this on various forums with interest and there is some debate as to what is being classed as 'stable'. It seems the latter version of Prime95 is using AVX instructions that heat up the CPU somewhat and can break even a rig that has been running Aida, Asus realbench, etc for hours.

I'm curious, I ran Prime95 (latest) on my rig for hours at a lowly 4GHz but its stable, I wonder how high I could take it using the other stress programs?

Have any of you guys tested with Prime95 or have solely tested on other programs.

Please note I am not asking anyone to run Prime to potentially cause any damage, I'm just interested...(i.e. do so at your own risk).

Having some issues with AI Suite 3. I've abandoned it for any overclocking but i still like it for fan control. I had the "turbo app" set up such that it would switch from quiet preset to turbo preset upon launching bf4.exe. For whatever reason, this has stopped working.

I have set the power option to "auto" as per the instructions. It says turbo app "on", "activated setting for --". If i attempt to create any instruction for any .exe and it never does anything.

Prior to manual overclocking this worked fine. Is there some setting in the bios that will overriding this?

It seems you can't use 125 strap and have working turbo app although I haven't seen this written anywhere. A bit rubbish really.
 
Would someone mind posting their of settings using a gigabyte bios....I have changed all the values I think...but it's still not booting at 4ghz....it's something obvious but I can't see it lol

Are most people using the 125 strap?

Care full here.

My Gigabyte board with 2800Mhz RAM use to use a 105 bclk with a 26.66X multi to get 2800.

A recent BIOS update has changed the XMP and its now doing 127.something x 22 to get 2800Mhz.

They are constantly tweaking things from one BIOS to another.
