Hayfever - Thread

I kept waiting for mine to really kick in, but this year (and last actually) have been very mild. Not sure if it was the beconase nose spray or whether something else has contributed, but I'd say my symptoms have improved by 70%.

Exactly the same here, did you happen to have a much better time with it last year also?

I've always suffered pretty badly with hayfever. Over the last few years I've used Loratadine 10mg once a day, with Beconase nasal spray on occasion - what is everyone else using?

Same thing here.
Started taking tablets first week of Feb. And it’s already helping me as the weather has been decent lately.

Not needed to use Beconase yet.

Fexofenadine works for me, brilliant that it's over the counter now (cheaper for a month over the counter than the prescription fee).

I take cetirizine dihydrochloride one a day all through the year. Then I use Avamys through the peak of hay fever season as well.

I've been getting it worse and worse the last few years. Today has been really bad.

What are my options for other treatments other than antihistamines? I find Fexofenadine to be the better of the lot but still not perfect. :(

My eyes have been on fire the last couple of weeks - never struggled this badly with them before.

Generally take Avamys but no tablets to supplement, will have to try loratadine/ cetirizine and see if that helps.
