Hazro - Any Update?

you guys who are receiving yours already...you are getting thr Wi models early, because they are replacing your W versions?

Why are they doing this? is it similar to when BFG will upgrade your FX card within a cetain time slot of your purchase if a newer model comes out soon after?

Hm. The bottom of my panel is also loose again and moved inwards when using a cleaning cloth to clean the screen.

Perhaps they all do this and no one else notices. It's not as bad as the old panel, but you can still see it's doing it!

Not having much luck here!

Nope, pretty much no force at all. I'm *very* careful around LCD's.

I've just e-mailed them to tell them I have the same issue again. I'll see if they're able to get this one replaced (that lasted long eh!). I'm pretty sure the panel shouldn't be moving. At all.

so the new revised Hazro's screens are now using the same Geneis scalar chip that Dell use in the 2408WFP A00 which creates the 32/33ms Input Lag, hardly noticeable, but one of the primary reason people are waiting for a new REV Dell , yet Hazro now have moved to this chip?? has anyone else run the input lag test?

also is the Glossy screen any good in bright office we tried the Dell variant SP2208WFP's for our standard systems but they we're too reflective

TFT Central

"The scaling chips have been updated and the screens now use more advanced chips from Genesis (who also supply Dell screens). This will allow better support and scaling to resolutions such as 1080 HD. This also goes hand in hand with support for a wider range of resolutions"

Read the thread I have done the tests :P

It's not the same chip else I'd have gotten the same input lag results, it's from the same maker who Also supply Dell with scaler chips. The input lag is exactly 30ms according to my results. TFTCentral should get their results up soon i'd imagine though to confirm this value!

According to TFT Central it's the same chip I can see the test results which are almost identical hence I wondered if anyone has the same results 32.7 vs 34ms is very close

No, TFTcentral have not reviewed the HZ24Wi yet, the results you see are for the non "i" which has the old scaler chip with 32-34ms. Only a handful of us forum members here have the "i" model so far.

yup, newer panel, faster performance and the glassy polariser reflecting heat! not an issue though since the whole thing is aluminium :)

No read the TFT post this relates to the NEW i versions;

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/13.htm#hazro_updates

"Hazro have recently provided us with details of new updates for their popular S-IPS based screens. The Hazro range consists of models in sizes of 23, 24, 26 and 30 inches. We have already reviewed the 24" HZ24W and 26" HZ26W screens, and the 30" HZ30W is due on the site very soon. The updates will add a few nice features to the 23, 24 and 26" screens, as well as addressing a couple of minor problems reported by various users. The updates will include:"

"The scaling chips have been updated and the screens now use more advanced chips from Genesis (who also supply Dell screens). This will allow better support and scaling to resolutions such as 1080 HD. This also goes hand in hand with support for a wider range of resolutions"

"As you can see, there are quite a few positive changes there to the range and new stock should be emerging very soon. In the UK, the sole provider of these screens is Overclockers.co.uk, and new stock will appear at some point soon. Thankfully Hazro have opted to help avoid any conclusion, and have added a letter "i" to the end of each screen name. We now have the HZ23Wi, HZ24Wi, HZ26Wi. The 30" HZ30W will remain as it is for now."

This would explaing why MRK's input lag test almost comes out the same as the Dell 2408WFP although it's soo close further test's would be better 1.3ms is nothing between the to - but I thought the whole reason for waiting for the New firmware revision Dell is to improve the input lag further

I have done and it mentions nothing of input lag response times. The only such times you will find online are my tests at the moment.

Yep 30ms scaled and 1:1 next to a CRT in clone mode.

In real world usage though the look and feel of the revised "i" model is almost twice that of the previous model. My wireless mouse motion looks and feels like a wired one once again (it used to on the 2007WFP and BenQ FP241W) instead of a very slight lag between moving it and cursor moving onscreen.

So I got reply from Hazro.

But I got a little intimmidated by the bottom diclaimer "This e-mail is confidential.... any use or dissemination of this communication or any part of it is strictly prohibited."

So I will just say that the 26" will not be featuring a glossy panel

And the 24" and 26" should be equally fast

Ah then perhaps I am glad I got the 24" as I really like the clarity of the glossy panel/polariser over the non glossy version!

You should be. I definitely want the 24" now. I loooove glossy

Could you please comment on the screens brightness ?

It looks very bright in your pictures

It doesn't come out the same as the Dell, on the TFTCental test (and others) they've clocked the Dell at an average of over 60ms input lag, i.e., two times the input lag on the Hazro. From experience can also vouch for that being true, I cannot detect the input lag when moving the mouse around, or moving windows round (or heck, even when gaming) on the Hazro, but all three made the lag on the Dell noticeable.
