Hazro - Any Update?

Already played through Warhead and it seems to be just as much as a resource hog as the original (maybe marginal). I ended up setting everything to low to keep things smooth.

It seems they've reduced the amount of enemies too to cope with this. Their AI is also truly terrible.

It was kind of a fun game, but very short and very easy to finish.

Roll on FarCry 2 and Fallout 3.

I find the same too. but.....I originally played crysis @ 1280x960 Now I`v got the Hazro I`m playing warhead @ 1920x1200 same settings and achieving the same frame rate 25-35.

So the engine has improved if it can play at higher res producing the same frame rate. For me any way :)

Here are three pictures of the monitor, one of the back form the top right of the monitor, one of the front and one of the front with a 17" laptop in front of it. I would have operating pics but my system failed the leak test so now I need to go get some silicone to finish it tonight.

And ?

Lol :p I'm at work now so don't know if it came today! it was meant to be picked up today actually but since fed Ex picked it up friday hazro would have had time to work on it over the weekend and dispatch it out so I'm hoping it has arrived today or will do tomorrow.

It's also worth noting about the green snow, I've been speaking with some folks recently and have learned that many MAC users have been having this problem for a long time now with the Cinema Displays so it’s not isolated to the Hazro or Windows/ATI cards specifically. MAC users don’t have Powerstrip though so can’t resolve it unfortunately.

I am going to play with CCC settings if I encounter green snow on the screen when I get mine back. There are 2 frequency screens in ATI CCC which I’ve not yet had the chance to sample around with but will cycle them if the green snow occurs next time round and see which one makes them go away.

Nvidia’s control panel has no such options in this regard so powerstrip would be needed so I’m hoping the CCC settings do fix it if I encounter this particular issue (even though it was minimal to begin with).

I noticed my snow last night again whilst playing some TF2.

I swapped the cable and port on my gfx card and the places I used to always have it had stopped, was hoping that would fix the problem for me without having to powerstrip, but looks like not and tonight I'll probably try and fix it with that :)

just found 2 pics that it is in, for size comparision

Will start a new thread once I get proper monitor pics, Ill probably just include them all in one build thread of the machine since people have requested pics of my project

Hey Chemical,

Sorry to be a bit off topic, but just wondered where you got your TJ07 from? Was it already Pre-modded? Where can I find your build thread?

First impression is great - everything about the colour looks much more natural out of the box - vibrant, but not unreal (and slightly acid) like before. The backlight dimming has definitely made an improvement there.
It's as if they've just decided that they should choose realistic settings instead of wacky ones as defaults.
Colour is set to 'user' which look pretty similar to the D65 preset.
I'll leave it to warm up a bit then try a calibration.

Initially I thought brighness was ok for me, but as I'm watching it, I'm slowly turning down the contrast setting - bit by bit. It's now at 35 (I think default was 48).

Edit: colour temp varies quite significantly accross the width - cool at the edges, warm in the middle. It's pretty irritating, but I'm guessing that they'd say it was "in-spec for a H-IPS".

This should not affect me since my screen that got sent away for the upgrade had no such problem!

Good to hear about the luminance though.

it was customized by a company, at my request, for monies. Can't state who it is here though as they are a competitor.

Dont have a build thread yet as im in the process of building it, it should be done after tonight though, as its only a leak on one pump that is stopping me powering up atm, and ive just picked up a tube of silicone :D

Bit of a nightmare, never heard of a pump leak before. I have just E-mailed you, if you are willing to part with a bit more info - it would really be useful......:D

/off topic
its not a pump leak so much as where the metal connecter goes into it (the bit that connects to the rad one, bottom rightpump/rad). I think that while doing cable management I may have moved it a bit and it might have borken the threading/seal
