**HAZRO HZ27WA & HZ27WC ARRIVING SOON INCLUDING NONE-GLASS VERSIONS!**

Hmm.. got pics of it?

It is difficult to make a photo that shows that. The bottom of the gap seems to be part of the panel assembly. The plastic bezel in front seems to be fixed with some adhesive; it separates a bit at one corner, and it is possible to join it to the panel assemble pressing a bit. But there will be always the 2mm separation between bezel and screen assembly, with 2-3mm of depths.

I think I better enjoy this beautiful screen, instead of examining that gap that doesn't have any influence on the image. Maybe some day I close it with a fine string of black foam, or something similar, just for easier cleaning.

Cheers - Klaus

Had my WD arrive today, perfect condition no dead pixels, sadly still going to be a few days before a mini-dp -> dp cable arrives (why are these things so rare? just a simple passive adapter) so running it on an hdmi adapter I had (can't run at full res).

Few issues so far (am running from a 2010MBP 10.7):

  • Edge of screen is clipped whether running at 1:1 or scaling up. (no option in OSD for changing pixel setting, and using an underscan setting gives blur on the image) At 1:1 can get a sharp image only if sharpening is dropped to ~25
  • Colour temperature settings have been removed from the OSD? Only have brightness, sharpness, saturation, and hue. Theres a 5th tab on the OSD that's not mentioned in the manual, but isn't accessible (4th tab is phase etc for VGA)
  • Having trouble getting it calibrated, default is bad both on white and blacks, WA profile from tftcentral is alright but loses the top row unless I turn the brightness right up. (don't have access to a calibrator)
  • Black text on blue background is really blurry or broken up (such as blue page on http://www.doihaveadeadpixel.com/)

Can see first being just a problem of the hdmi adapter, but 3 and 4 i kind of need feedback on, and 2 just seems weird for colour temp setting to be missing.

edit: i can split this out into a seperate topic, just thought keeping this info with other discussion on the screens may help

Isnt there a settings in Windows Display settings or CCC to allow you to re-position the screen?

Hey I'm ordering from Hazro.com site as OcUk doesn't ship to my country (sadly) - can anyone confirm if they sell only glass version or I can email them to send me a non-glass one? Thanks. I want HZ27WC :)

Am doing from OSX so only seem to have an underscan setting which makes the screen smaller, can't seem to get a sharp image when using that though. Hoping using straight DP will fix that (when i can run it at full res). Can just switch to windows for desktop work if its a driver problem.

On mine, connected with an DVI-DL cable, color temp settings are working correctly.

I havn't tried many changes to calibration. Don't have much time; too much work pending. But out of the box it wasn't bad, for daylight conditions. I reduced ecomode to 25%, and right now I reduced it to 0% (at night). I have seen some fuzzyness of text increasing the brightness adjustment too mucho. There seems to be a change to warmer color at some point of higher brightness. Right now I have it at 38% of brightness, 73% of contrast, and 33% of sharpness, and text looks fine to me.

Cheers - Klaus

Thanks, so you have colour settings on the OSD? Mine looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/BwzUF.jpg

Going left and right only moves between the left three (don't expect to get to the 4th as its VGA, but the 5th isnt documented?)

EDIT: Just used nvidia resize desktop in windows, need to lower the external display res to 1890x1068 to get corners showing, hopefully a side effect of the hdmi connection.

Not sure about the colour temperature setting, but if you're calibrating it, why do it without a calibrator? imo always leave it at default and just mess with the backlight until you get one. I couldn't get my C version to look right either (this is without an OSD though and just using software)

As for the blue problem, can say I've never heard of anyone mentioning it before, that is strange.

I'm non-glass too yeah, still a rather reflective screen. Bezel gap is about 2mm.

Pic of black bleed on text: http://i.imgur.com/YSFgf.jpg Is sharp with black on white/white on black/black on green, but like this or worse on red and blue. Don't think its a pixel alignment issue because its sharp in places, and the text sharpening (have mine at 25) gives sharp text normally, except with black text on colours (and higher sharpening does not fix it). =/

Seems to be a mac colour profiles issue, as on default it's pretty damn good in windows (can see differences up to 253 easy, 254 if looking hard) and down to 3 easily, 2 looking, 1 not really. (on ~25 brightness, ~70 contrast)

Whereas with default profile in osx i can't see anything below ~15 or above ~245

Haha, well, with how much it cost yeah I am :p Also the rainforest shop sending my adapter cable hasn't even dispatched it yet, and quite aware of the 7 day DSR, and also moving on monday! (that sale really forced a bad timing)

The color settings are in the first menu. You can change between user, normal, warm and cool. Activating user, you can change RGB colors individually.

Ecomode is in the third menu (Misc).

The fifth menu isn't explained in the manual. I can't access it either. Maybe for firmware update connecting something to the usb-port, or whatever…

Cheers - Klaus
