Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

What do you guys think about Hazro in terms of durabillity?

If I would buy this monitor, I would like to think of it lasting more than 5 years. With that resolution and panel, the technological side should be plenty I guess. But how about the build quality and back lights? Are the backlights the same ones as the Apple's, or are they of cheaper design to save money?

Somewhere in the proces, a lot of money had to be saved to get it down to these prices... Were there sacrifices made in terms of durabillity?

What do you guys think?

Our 30" units are typically sold with 5 year SLAs to business customers (however, we don't offer this option to consumers). The 30" are sold to customers such as the MoD, Lockheed Martin, universities and labs etc. so it is rock solid. The panel is encapsulated in an aluminium enclosure with a powder coated steel back. The brushed front cover is a nice feature. We're looking to have a setup in London soon where customers can 'eye-ball' our displays and will contact OCUK to have something similar at their base. We're at CeBIT this year too if you happen to be Germany.

i think is lottery really, i hope my one can last more than 6 months unlike the ones before.

Cindor, I also have a Hazro 30" in the post from OCUK, Can you tell me how yours is, any dead pixels etc as i will not get my screen until next wk because i live on a small island..

there is interest!

Here is my review I posted a few pages back:

I purchase the "Hazro HZ30Wie" and well... What can I say... I don't usually post reviews, but, receiving this monitor made me feel obliged to post up a some kind of mini review.

The monitor came well packed, I did get an initial shock when picking up the box for the first time, it's very heavy! After unboxing the monitor, it was pretty simple setting up the stand and getting the panel attached to said stand. I would recommend 2 people due to the size and weight of this thing.

FYI - My previous monitor was a 26" Samsung T260, now this monitor has great picture quality and vibrancy but lacks on the viewing angle side imho.

I purchased this new monitor for the main purposes of gaming and programming.

So, my next step was to plug this baby in, and when I did, boy way I impressed. My Samsung does not come close in picture quality, vibrancy or viewing angle (especially viewing angles!). I simply can't express how impressed I was with it.

There were no dead pixels which was a fantastic bonus, I have tried out a few games like BF3, Rift, FFXIV, Super SF4 and a few others. I haven't seen any ghosting issues or signs of bleeding what so ever.
I would highly recommend this monitor to anybody looking for a high end gaming monitor @ 2560 X 1600.

I now just hope that I don't get any issues with it in the future, and If I do, they are resolved smoothly

Peace!

Got my HZ27WD this morning and the image quality is very good. Its got one stuck green picle down towards the bottom right corner but thats it. What is a bit annoying is the monitor is buzzing all the time, even on pages such as this forum which are predominately dark. On the page somebody post earlier it makes an extremely loud noise. Speak volume is turned right down and that made no difference so wondered if anybody else was having a simliar issue?

Just attached my PS3 to the HZ27WD and it won't detect it as a sound capable device through either HDMI port, although I check and it works through DP from my 580GTX. I'll try from the 580 later through HDMI and see if its a quirk with the PS3, but its a little odd.

Well, got my replacement monitor today (really fast turnaround on the RMA, top notch)

and...

it looks fantastic. Yes, this one worked fine straight away, and no dirt/dead pixels anywhere that i can see (and if i cant see them, even if they are there they dont matter :))

I'm going to do a gaming session, then try watching some anime and a film, and see what that looks like, but so far, very impressed.

Edit: handled gaming excellently, didn't notice any input lag (with the C version) and while the glass front is amazingly reflective while switched off, when its running the reflections aren't noticable.

Colours look great too.

Had no problems watching videos either.

apparently, you cannot get sound over HDMI, as I have the same issue too.

I have a WD, and it doesn't make any audible noise, with the speakers below 12% (enough for most occasions).
I got one green stuck pixel, as you ;)

Besides, very happy with the screen (glassless version).

Cheers - Klaus

Just downloaded the Lightroom 4 trial and thought I would check out my colour management settings in windows 7.

When I first got the monitor I downloaded and used the icc profile from TFT Central and was happy. Now I'm not so sure.

I tried a profile that was uploaded on this thread earlier but it seemed to dark. I have also tried the sRGB IEC61966 2.1 profile and that seems pretty good. I noticed using the Lagom test images that banding was quite bad with the TFT Central profile but leaving that image on screen and switching to the sRGB profile made a huge difference and pretty much removed all banding.

The trouble is after switching through different profiles numerous times my eyes (and I guess brain) now have difficulty telling which I prefer although I am leaning towards the sRGB profile.

What does everyone else use or recommend?

I don't use any profile, it's factory calibrated and messing with that with by hand just seems like a bad idea. Either leave it as it is or get a calibration tool and use it the profile it gives you is the best idea imo.
