Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

Thanks, not likely to get my hands on a calibration tool for a while though.

What is the default profile in Windows?

Edit: Never mind about the default profile, figured it out. Incidentally when moving between the ICC profile from TFT Central and default windows there appears to be no difference.

Hi guys i got my Hazro HZ30Wie today, OK i set the monitor up with the provided dvi cable, works perfect with no dead pixels, the picture quality is very good clear and sharp..

The problem i have is, when on dark images IE blacks or mostly a full black screen like the desktop with a black wallpaper it looks like someone is standing behind me with a torch? is this normal for led screes or a ips fault? as my last monitors didn't do this, its as if the screen has a coating off something on it and even any light from my room reflects off it.. I'm not 100% happy with the viewing angles either, i was hoping to beable to shift my head from one side to the other without any or little change in image but I'm not impressed.. don't get me wrong the screen is amazging and sharp just them 2 things that stand out to me.. has anyone has them problems with the dell 30"?? Thanks :)

Prices are very unstable with OC UK on these, they jump up and down quite a bit, and are part of the weekly specials quite often as well. Keep an eye on the prices next Wednesday at least, they might be on special offer then (weekly deals always change on Wednesday I think). For the mainlanders (like me) the low euro/high pound values currently don't make them very attractive either. 450 pound is nearly €542 at the moment, that's quite pricey and doesn't even include shipping costs.

Makes it an interesting choice at these pricepoints - want it for mainly gaming with a bit of photoshop work
The Hazro was a no brainer, good panel/features - great price, not so sure on customer service or reliability based on feedback here
Dell - great panel, good warranty, expensive but considered one of the best buys here and shame about the midnight grey  (I know they do black elsewhere!)

Now they are the same price Im seriously considering the Dell, though I cant buy until payday, so if the prices change between now and then, it will be the Hazro as my budget is £500 as I will have to spend another 500 on gfx cards to drive it

you may need to use some kind of ICC profile loader tool to get it to correctly load. have a google and give it a try

Looks like they are low in stock perhaps there will be some special offers when the new batch arrives. These really were a steal at £350, if there is an increase in quality control and customer service then no doubt this will add to the price.

350 is a rarity, only during special weekend deals and/or for B-grade models I think? They're on here for 400-430 quite often though.

If the 27 ichers were to come on special offer again I think I would have to get one.

Though I think I'd be happy with 24 inches, there are no glossy IPS screens out there. I know there's a Dell 22inch touch screen IPS but I couldn't care less about the touch screen and the stand looks awful.

Is there any more news on the possibility of a 24 Hazro?

i bought 3 of the glass-fronted hazros in december. this morning, when i woke up, i noticed on one of the monitors, the glass panel has slid down about 1cm on the left-hand side! :(

has this happened to anyone else? is it an easy fix?

i'm a bit reluctant to have to post this off at my own expense...

Maybe you can take off the glass and be happier without it's reflections ;)

(I had first a WA with glass, and now an WD without, and I prefer it)

In Holland there are shops selling the Dell U2711 for 520 euro. Ordering a Hazro C from OC.UK or MediaFrost.de will cost me arround 490 euro, excluding shipping costs.

Practically same price... The Dell has a much better QC and customer service, and I simply 'trust' it more.
However, I have never seen a Hazro C version non glass in person...

Is it so much nicer than the Dell? Is the AG coating ruining the image quality? Or what makes the Hazro the better option?

Got my 30Wie, it's a ****ing amazing monitor. All aluminum, heavy, solid, it's even thinner then my old 24" samsung syncmaster. I might return with a video review, but all I can say is: if you are considering one, you wont be disappointed.

Yup that's pretty much what it boils down to, also why I had a (far) more expensive Hazro shipped overseas instead of buying the Dell. Well that or your seriously hate input lag as the WC model is almost 3 times faster than the WD/Dell u2711.
