Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

gg hazro.. gg

Okay, I've had my hazro for a few months now
Put simply, these monitors are insane (HZ30Wi/e) - I dont do it often as I generally spend most of my time in 3d land but whenever I load up quake the combination of the resolution, timing and colour make it harmfully addictive. I actually don't load up modern day games just incase my head explodes from all the pretty. Anyway a great display, i'll be eating noodles for a few more months so i can buy the HZ30Wie - have the HZ30Wi atm. Tbh it's one of the only screens worth buying if one is looking into getting an oled when they arrive as the resolution will still keep it relevant for a side screen.

Could you, or indeed anyone else, please comment on the anti-glare coating on the 30 inch Hazro models? I'm interested in buying one after recently returning a Dell U2711 because of the harsh anti-glare coating so need to make sure this screen doesn't suffer from the same problem.

Thanks.

Well in 10 days it will be 1 year since I bought my Hazro HZ27WC. Although the picture is great and i have no dead pixels I Still do not have a firmware fix for my 5870 to be able to display a damn BIOS!

How long do I have to wait here, its been a whole year and there seems to be no movement on this issue at all.

I do not care if this is an issue with AMD or Hazro at this point I just want to be able to see my BIOS. I placed a friends 6 series card in my machine and it was fine so i know it will display it on other cards.

This will be the last time I ever buy a Hazro product because they refuse to chase this issue with AMD and refuse to reply to my emails.

I understand your frustration but to be very honest the 5xxx series have more display problems than any other card I've ever had and I think it's more AMD/ATI's fault then Hazro. these cards also have problems with some SONY/PHILIPS tv's with HDMI out, they cause flickering. Just upgrade your card and all the frustration goes away. I say this because we all know Hazro / AMD/ATI is not going to fix it.

Why should I go out and spend money on a new GFX card when this one works fine? I have had this connected to other monitors without an issue.

This means I'm going to have to spend another 300 - 400 quid which I shouldn't need to do! What annoys me more the anything is the lack of support from Hazro on this issue, they just dont care!

I will no doubt do this in the coming months anyway but this doesn't means I'll ever buy another Hazro product.

Yeah I get what you mean and you are right. The reality is just that Hazro don't care, at all.
I think we've all learned from this that it's a gamble buying their stuff, I was lucky you weren't so lucky other's are even less lucky. If you want support, don't buy Hazro.

I was just pointing out to you that the best possible way to get your problems sorted is to switch to a nvidia equivalent or buy a newer graphics card.

And yeah they are kind of shooting theirselfs in the foot :)

Hazro does care or they wouldn't have contacted AMD in the first place. It's AMD that doesn't care as the ball is in their court.

6xxx and 7xxx seem to be problem free and from my own experience so is the AMD Radeon 5970 mobility.. though that's in a multimonitor setup (the laptop has a screen too ;)) and I think that's one of the workarounds. Would be interesting to know if a multi-monitor setup bypasses the problem. I remember NVIDIA cards could be used as a dedicated physx card by tricking the videocard into thinking a monitor was connected by shortcircuiting some of the pins from DVI or VGA (can't remember which). Perhaps something similar could be done here.

[edit]
Found it, VGA Dummy Plug. If anyone has a DVI->VGA adapter to spare and has the problem.. might be worth a try.

Axeia,

The 7970 isnt issue free :(

With my Hazro HZ27WC connected to the DVI port I get no display on boot until i get into windows :(

I then found if I connect an additional monitor to the displayport both monitors work fine in the bios.

This is just plain odd

this leads me back to it being a Hazro issue which I still suspect is the problem. This will never be found out though.

Good picture, crap support thats all I can say, they lost me as a customer of any new stuff after 3 months with this issue!

My 7950 is doing just fine (via displayport) both in a single and a triple monitor setup. Picture shows up a bit late though, so if I want to enter the BIOS (well UEFI thingy..) I need to hit the key right when the picture comes up. (or just hit the right key without waiting for the image to come up)

Its not possible to prove its solely Hazros issue with some AMD cards.

You may as well say you will never buy AMD AND Hazro rather than just blame the monitor. The cost is just about the same, the monitor will be high end for longer.

Well, after deliberating on which 2560x1440 monitor to get for a good few weeks, I just bit the bullet on an HZ27WC after they came back in stock. Here's hoping it doesn't have any stuck pixels.

I've had the HZ27WC for a little over a week now and I was just browsing for Skyrim mods when I noticed the little firefox icon in the top left seemed to be disappearing. On a closer look at my monitor, I now notice my glass screen is literally falling off...

Here's some pictures to help explain what I mean.

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do about it?
I managed to push it back on and it seems to be holding, but a £450 monitor really shouldn't be doing this. I don't even know if it will hold like that. Should I DRM this? Would they even take it? Not to mention the delivery cost I'd have to pay, ugh.

Ah, great... My dad could probably just glue it back on himself or something, heh. Would this void the warranty? o.o
I doubt they would collect it, I live in Aberdeen. I could ask for a postage refund and see what they say.

I've actually heard it 'cracking' before, but I didn't know if it was the monitor or what. I didn't really take too much notice of it, but now I realise it's actually the noise of the screen coming off.

I'd imagine gluing it back on yourself would void the warranty so I'd definitely say RMA it. As for collection, surveyor means via a courier, so doesn't matter where you live :) they should pay for the courier to collect it rather than you forking out the postage cost as it's their own ****up.
