Helldivers 2

I've had reload bugs, reload, press fire *click* "out of amo"

Not a bug, if you interrupt the reload before you’ve cocked the gun (by checking the map, stratagems or diving), then you’ll have to finish off the reload. Alternatively, if you still have at least one bullet in the gun when you reload, you’ll not need to **** the gun and just swap the magazine.

Oh yeah, anyone elses strategems playing up today? Just called in a rover but turned out it gave me an orbital strike on the entire squad, they saw the funny side though.
Was this against the robots? Possible your stratagems got scrambled if that’s the case. Not heard any reports of stratagems getting mixed up by bugs (you know what I mean :p)

Solution to the awful aliasing issues in this game until they add DLSS.

Disable AA in game and if you have a nvidia gpu, apply FXAA via the CP, not perfect but it handles the shimmering slightly better than the in game AA and most importantly, objects/terrain in the distance looks far better/more detailed along with motion clarity being much cleaner.

If you have the grunt though i.e. 4080/4090, use DLDSR instead.

Played this over the weekend with friends and its great. Reminds me a bit of Deep rock galactic in some ways.

We started using the shoulder mounted rocket launcher to take out the automaton dropship. I would prime a stratagem since some of the enemies would still be alive. Well on more than one occasion I would forget about the backblast and be knocked over with the primed stratagem in hand. Took out our shields and nearly team wiped us once :o .

It's a mechanic in the game, and it's bloody hilarious :D
To be clear as that thread references both, there's 2 different effects - there is a jammer tower which blocks strategems from being called in until it's destroyed which is when you see them being jammed and get a white noise effect when looking at the list, and there's a modifier which causes strategems to be scrambled - so you can still call them in but the input codes are mixed up.

Seems that Helldivers devs want the game remain a "current cult trend" free zone, actively locking current cult posts from both sides of the political isle in Steam.

A smart move because the moment you give these cults an inch they will see it as weakness and take their mile for activist messaging. You put a stop to it before it even starts.

Managed Democracy lol
not pseudo authoritarianism.

I might not be as sensitive to it as others but disabling AA and turning sharpening off has made the image look significantly cleaner for me - but again, I'm not as sensitive to the AA issues that are often discussed.

Come to think of it, I don't think I tried turning off sharpening all together, which probably added to the shimmering but for now FXAA and sharpening looks pretty good so will probably leave for now.

I find the AA in the ship environment is a lot more janky than general in game. In game, I don’t have any issues with picture quality or clarity.
