Help for long time existing customer but new to forums

I bet you don't know why companies have loyalty programmes. To them you're just a profit. They don't pay salaries and bills with number of people posting random stuff, quite often doubled posts, because it's too hard to use edit option.
And yeah, I read some of posts of people that tend to brag about community - most of it is just gibberish one liners.

My loyalty to OCUK is shown with my wallet. I don't buy stuff to support forum community - just a company. You don't represent OCUK. You're not the staff or owner. If I would want to interact with right people I would use support system.

Completely missed the point. To be honest its fine as you will be gone soon and then no one will hear from you again until the next lot of vouchers.

Entitled. You are taking something that is not aimed at you *vouchers for people that use the forums and are part of the community* and asking that it be changed because it does not benefit you in its current state. Thats basically what you are doing here.

Agreed mate, it was very clear from the start that these vouchers will be given to members who have participated and helped the community over the years. The entitlement is beyond a joke tbh...

Personally i don't think a lower post count will help at all, there is nothing stopping someone creating multiple accounts, using different emails and different addresses to buy multiple cards. If anything its a nice welcome doorway for scalpers to come in reek havoc on ocuk's supply. Getting 50 posts is not difficult, using multiple accounts to get the same 50 post count is even easier, hell you could start a topic and start talking to yourself in a discussion using 2 different accounts and no one would be the wiser...

I took nothing. My rant is just an answer to some of you looking at me and other people here like we're unworthy of equal treatment. I thought that OCUK is an online shop. But I was wrong - it's just a storefront to this "community". And it is ironic how all of you school me and others while some of you use your "*vouchers for people that use the forums and are part of the community*" to get access and scalp things on ebay. But then they end up banned and there's no problem.
If there's more people like you in this community maybe it's just better to not be part of it.
 
same here. I spent thousands with OC UK in the past, and I was reading forum since 3000 series came out. I didn't know I need to make posts to buy graphics card in the future.

Its astounding how you still just don't get it. You're showing yourself up man, give over. Unworthy of equal treatment? Because you don't fit the criteria of a good will gesture from OCUK to get a very limited deal. Not everyone will fit that criteria. All they asked is that you've shown to participate in an online forum and because you've not done that and they won't change the rules for you , everyone else is in the wrong. They do it to help people who have helped people and you want all tbe benefits without any if tbe helping people.

Think about how this looks. I've been on here for years now and I've met some awesome people on here that help people every day with problems. The owners of the shop/forums tell us we can have super hard to get items at good prices with vouchers as a gesture of good will. Suddenly people who've never been seen of heard of before complain "Why can't I have one as well?" "I know you said this is what your doing but I don't fit that criteria and even though I'm not even a forum member I want that thing you said forum members could have!". Quit trying to make it about you when it was aimed at othe people. Even then , you *could* make it so you actually fit said criteria you just don't want to. All the rewards and none of the efforts.

Anyways I've wasted too much time trying to explain a reasonable thing that OCUK have done to help people to one of the most selfish people I've had the misfortune of speaking to as of late. You tale care mate.

In Gibbos post I seen 1000 posts. I don't know where is the 50 come from.

Maybe a different perspective but as one of the newer members after only hearing about the forum when calling to enquire about the pricing of the 3070s online, I think it's a great implementation of an innovative system to allow genuine users to get hands-on GPUs at MRSP. The simple fact that 3070s were still available several hours after being put online is remarkable in this current market.

Yes it is frustrating for those who weren't aware of the MM or even the forum itself, but it is refreshing to actually see a group of people being able to get GPUs without these being immediately snatched up by bots or scalpers.

You ARE unworthy of equal treatment though.

The voucher codes are a reward for those of us who have actively participated in this community over the years, who also happen to be OCUK customers (6months +1000 posts also gets free delivery when you link the forum account to your OCUK account - another "reward").

how can I link my forum account to OCUK account?
 
A 1000 posts is a hell of a lot though. Quality over quantity. Not bashing long time members with 1000+ posts but with the likes of Reddit and Facebook these days there are a lot of places to discuss computers and related items.

This sort of thing tends to encourage lots of "pointless" posts to get a count up, guilty of it myself many years ago on different forums too for things like this.

Would you rather see 250 quality posts related to the discussion - helpful even or 1000 sh&&post memes?

Ok memes are fun, but still.
