Sorry what? Look how popular LoL is and thats the casual version of dota. No reason that something even more casual than LoL cant be popular.
Um. LoL is the no. e-sport at the moment. It's not a casual version of anything and it has more hardcore players than Dota ..or any game for that matter.
As for this game, it'll probably flop. I'm not seeing anything done better than what Dota and Lol do.
LoL is casual...just because they have a huge esports scene does not mean that the game is hardcore, it's easier to learn than Dota.
I really doubt this game will flop, the fact it's a Blizzard game alone means it will have a pretty huge following, and from playing the tutorial etc, it seems good, I think people will find it easy to get into compared to LoL/Dota.
I remember people saying the same about Hearthstone and look what happened there.
LoL is a bit more casual friendly than Dota but it is not a casual game, I think you need to look up on the definition of a casual game.
HotS is MOBA, it doesn't do anything LoL and Dota can't do, which means the established games won't lose players to this game. The Hearthstone comparison is flawed, there was no popular card game at the time Hearthstone came out so it filled a niche which, along with the mobile market, explains its success.
LoL can be a casual game if you want it to be, I happily logged on every few days and played a game just fine, that's pretty casual to me?
How are the graphics when playing? Just watched that husky commentated game from the link above and looked atrocious.
Compared to what? Compared to DOTA/LOL Heroes is in a different league entirely.
Match time is key for me, most games of HotS seem to be under 30mins. I loved playing LoL but the 45min plus games just didn't fit into the session time I had to play.
