i listen 2 hip-hop still but i havnt been impressed for a long time, i liked a few of 50 cents underground mixtapes, nothing comercial (besides get rich or die trying had a few tracks i liked) but i must say that things will never be the same since Tupac left us, he was the truth

Tupac is the most overrated rapper in history.

blasphemy!

His first solo album was pretty good, after that he had flashes of genius, but like Nas, had far too many albums that while his rapping was decent, the production on them was terrible.

If tupac hadnt died, he would not have been as popular as he is, theres plenty of better rappers, without any doubt, in my top 50 hip hop albums of all time, i would struggle to put Tupac in there. (although he would be on a couple of top 50 singles).

Tupacs best selling album was all eyez on me which he released when he was alive, his albums sales slacked off after he died, and i definatlydon't agree about your production comment, johnny j is a great producer

Agreed, All eyes on Me was produced by Dr Dre, which is probably why it was the best selling one.

Its like Nas, theres no doubt he's a superb rapper, but he's had some terrible producers, and most of his albums have been second rate as a result (after a stunning debut).

I picked up the plan b album today, its superb and well recommended.

I actually can't recommend Nas' new album enough. It's...brilliant.

I have it, the first half is pretty good, it tails off quite a bit imo. Again though, he has a decent budget and a great producer on this record, so it should be good. :p

Only a few tracks was produced by dr.dre, If you want a 2pac album with bad production listen to pac's life :o terrible, also loyal to the game was just as bad, to me post death production was good after death it worse with every album

Also who else got sick of scott storch and his indian/bollywood type beats

I love the UK bonus track particularly, always gets turned up an extra notch. :D

Don't listen to it much these days, but I'm still a closet Wu-Tang Clan fan; 36 Chambers and GZA's Liquid Swords are still among my favourite albums of all time.

Apart from that I've recently acquired some Immortal Technique albums and I like what I'm hearing. :D I've also heard good things about the hip-hop/electronic/jazz fusion scene.

Ok something to get us all excited....check out this link and also watch the demo on you-tube link....It is an allegation about how one of the biggest producer in america stole a beat (or whole song) from a finnish artist! Truth or tosh? You decide....

I think the songs sounds similar....

'Real' Hip hop imo is Dead now, people like 50 cent and that all thinking they are hard producing crap. Early 90's hip hop was imo the best (and late 80's)
NWA (late 80s), Ice Cube and Dr Dre in the Early 90's (the Chronic is imo the best Album EVER) and 2pac and stuff like that.
