I'm downloading 9GB WTF 9GB after i purchase a disk...... are thet that lazy they can't put 2 disks in? Man this annoys the hell out of me. Shogun 2 managed it and it came out 3 or so days ago......i'm annoyed and I havn't even played. Virgin 20mb fail at 19:28 downloading at 250kbps

I feel your pain Dom mate - started my 9.8Gig download at 17.16 last night and it didnt finish (on my 1.5meg connection) until about 10.30 this morning :S

I "only" had to dload 5 gig on my disc version, either way i feel like i paid £35 to play the soap dodger in the prison shower.

Anyone else find it hilarious that the boxed version has a 9/10 review sticker on it from that well known PC magazine "zoo"? Talk about scraping the barrel.

Well thesixthaxis gave it an 8 and tbh their one of few sites who i think get results spot on, I havent played much of it as of yet will be playing it mainly tommorow.

Loving the ballistics in this, 3 rpg's to take out a hummvee, about 6 to take out a tank. Yet for infantry youre dropped in about 2 hits from just about any rifle or smg.

Just got my copy this morning, their is a steam file on the cd which I double clicked it is now installing it from the disk through steam

also it says on my box 'not for supply in the uk'

I now know why ppl are having to download another 5gig, not happy about this at all. How come you only get half of the game on the disk?

Got minethis morning to, currently dl'ing at 1.9mb/s and it will take 30mins ish. I'm hoping its better than ppl say.

Lucky you mine is saying nearly 5 hours @ 120kbs

I was having weird performance in MP, ok one minute 10fps the next. I put -compatscale=4 in the steam launch options and it seems to be fine now.

Other things to try is forcing directX9 via the launch option -d3d9
Setting vsync on or off via the launch option -vsync or -novsync
Modify the GCEngine.ini - set "OneFrameThreadLag=True" to False
Renaming .exe to UT3.exe (may benefit Xfire/SLi users).

Anyway, game is a guilty pleasure. Me likes (except for 60 sec 'intermission' between games :rolleyes:

Not quite sure what to make of it yet. But what is bugging me is the massive lag on the server list screen and having to adjust your filters every time you play.

PAh downloaded it after 6 hours, and when i load it up it just crashes FML. now steam can't even download it cos "servers are to busy". WORST money SPENT EVER

Only an hour to go till the download finishes

Tried to explain it to the wife in terms she could understand, said it would be like waiting for a new pair of fancy shoes to be in the shops and then being told you cant try them on till you get home and wait six hours.
