league of Legends is terrible, bad bad cell shading graphics, physics ant as good, characters arnt as good, overall game accesiblity isnt as good.
the community is a little unforgiving to new players, i hadn't played DOTA but have played HoN from the start of beta and whilst at first i was swamped and hadn't fruitiest clue what i was doing after reading character guides of the forums, learning about items, different skills to use in the game ive fopund myself becoming pretty adept, whilst im not a top player yet im easily capable of holding my own.
the problem lies in that a 5v5 game is balanced in such a fragile manner 1 bad player means its pretty much GG, its hard to recover especially in Easy Mode once they have been fed as that player then carrys the game for the other team.
like it was said earlier, it is an old game, reskinned, with a few new quirks but the gameplay is essentially the same.
it gets frustrating for players who have played a long time for then a new guy jump in and start running around like a headless chicken, this is in no way an FPS game, it is not a beat em up, its a strategy game more akin to chess, where being aware of the other players on the map is just as important as whats infront of you.
Immersive game, by far the best ive picked up in a long time, very steep learning curve, just stick to Noob Only level games with Noobs in the title to begin with, stick with 1 character to start with is the best idea, learn him, the abilities, the abilities of others you face, the items and most importantly how to be aware of the game your in by watching the mini map almost constantly.
The best advice i can give is to read the forums on S2 games, learn as much as you can, then you really will start to enjoy it. Every game is so different due to the amount of characters u can play even though right now in BETA we all play the same map ha.
