Worth-a-Buy is an old fart that only likes games that were made in the 80's and 90's.....he pretty much hates anything modern and then has a review channel all about modern games, where he talks about how rubbish they are! I always take his reviews with a pinch of salt.

I'm assuming the poster meant to say harvest. Harvesting the materials.
How can anyone love games from that era? Rose tinted glasses? Everything looks garbage from back then. Including the game mechanics.

One tip that I did when I started the game, there was too much stuff showing on the screen on the in-game HUD so if you go to options and set it to Dynamic HUD that removes 90% of what you see on the screen giving you a clearer view, that helped me a lot.
Some people mention their joypad making sounds effects during play, but I don't mind it personally, I thought it was cool.

Great game so far, looks gorgeous of course but plays very nicely too. Yes it's derivative but when it's this well done I find it hard to care!

Meh grabbed it on the way home! I'll not let the far cry ubisoft style stuff get to me! Hopefully 
His video isn't a critical look at the game. It's just a vehicle for his grumpy old man show and nitpicking any excuse to ring his stupid bell.
Starts off with all the hyperbole about it being SCANDALOUS that the game has got good reviews. Half expected him to launch into conspiracy theories, maybe he did later....
There are good critics out there on youtube, this old fart isn't one of them.

I love Mack's reviews but he does sometimes remind me of that fast talking reviewer whose name eludes me at this point - he became boring too with the bashing for new 'cool' games. The 'it's cool to bash a new game' becomes too common and it's clear that he has a thing against consoles. Some of his observations early on in the review are quite poor - enemy pathing for instance, is required in order to maximise the use of traps etc because lets face it - good luck memorising a Sawtooth's pathing whilst in a densely packed forest with thick grass.
I do agree about the voice overs. They seem a bit plain and lack emotion for their relevant character at any given moment.

I disagree. He's usually pretty on the ball calling games out for what they are. Glad you, and a lot of others, are enjoying it though..can't be that bad!
It's VERY good. Guerilla* games are now one of my top three devs. Amongst CDPR and naughty dog

I agree totally, and its not hyperbole... you can then add, the best graphics yet! ... This game has more moments of supreme beauty than anything thus far; you just have to stop and stare. Such a shame this is not on PC as I would spend many hours taking screens*, something I don't do on the PS4. This is the first game since Witcher3 that I've had to drag myself away from, and then I'll happily watch my son play through the sections I've already gone through, its that good.
A classic of our time.

Yeah same here, this game actually feels like a PC game on console! And I've never said that before. I just love it. I don't think the game is too complicated or too simplified, for me its all just right.
Btw, did Gorilla games get shut down after making this game? The only reason I ask is because I hope and prey they make extra content for this game! Even though I've only just started the game I can tell that when I'm finished I will want more content! I hope they bring our more expansions and DLC.
EDIT 2: I read somewhere that Sony want this game to be a new franchise, like uncharted or tomb raider, they want everyone to know the name Aloy and everyone to love this game for decades to come! I really think they will easily achieve this goal!
It clearly isnt as bad as the sensless bashing in some of the trendy YouTube reviews but I do take issue with this.
The story or characters aren't on par with TLOU and the voice acting borders on being abysmal on occasion. It's a visually stunning game but let's not pretend it's something it isn't.
