Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4]

I'd quite like to see a robot (maybe a module that can appear in any shape of machine) that can undo your overrides, it'll make you feel less safe that your tamed machine is going to keep you covered.
Some smaller burrowing machines or something that applies more advanced pack tactics would be nice to see as well... maybe something big and absolutely terrifying in the water too.

Mmm! Mosasaurus.

Yep, that was my first thought.
They could possibly have something like that as well as a giant squid/octopus styled robot.

They'd probably have to work out some kind of underwater combat or build a dam that the machine can attack to prevent you feeling like it can't get to you.

I'm going to start this once I've complete the Nathan Drake games.

Should I start on hardest difficulty?

Definitely play on Very Hard, having the combat with the machines be as brutal as possible really made it more enjoyable for me.
If you get to a point where a challenge is too difficult then you can always temporarily turn it down for that section, but really part of the fun is working out your tactics to take down your target.

Last night I reached a point where whats his face that talks to you through the focus... Said something about point of no return near a bowl arena with a Behemoth? Is this the point they talk about if you want to do all the side quests before going further? Pretty sure that was what he said... I didn't go further because I wasn't sure as I want to try and find the GAIA mission. Still hasn't popped up yet.

You get different dialogue and choices after that part if you had done all the side missions and errands etc.

I'll go through all the side missions then as they're quite fun allowing me to level up somemore and get the last few remaining suits. Currently 40. I was quite shocked how easier it is becoming to kill a corrupted Thunderjaw and Rockbreaker. Saying that my fire arrows has become very lethal as I've loaded them up with so much power that when anything explodes I get blown off my feet. Haven't even tried double fire arrows yet. Cannot even imagine triple fire arrows.

One shot on any shadow fighter any of them dies instantly. Got to love the tinker skill. Still loving this slow journey soaking up every part.

I must be near 90 hours.

Just got to the cauldron where you go toe to toe with a thunderjaw

Got him half way then got wiped out with a tail swipe!! :p

He is a few levels higher than me though. I'll do him. Next time imma gonna lay traps for his ass!!

Well, loving the game so far, but I'm in Cauldron Sigma and I'm blatantly under-levelled. Can't do enough damage to the boss before I run out of everything.

I can't climb back out....can't fast travel.....what am I supposed to do, start over?

nm, just dropped difficulty temporarily to kill it. Feels a bit cheap though, will make sure I do a manual save before going in the next one.

Bit crappy design that it overwrites your autosave at checkpoints with no way out.

You can use manual saves.

You didn't thoroughly observe the area. I too was under-levelled as most of my arrows were hardly doing any damage to it. Think I only had green weaponry. Pretty sure of it. In between it taking huge running swipes at me. There was a nice trick from one of the pillars.

Its also a reason I've never went into any other cauldron again. Not yet at least. Nearly have all the shadow weapons and skills. Currently level 41. Need one slingshot and something else.

Shadow weapons, schmadow weapons I say.
Get the hunting lodge weapons, if only for the fact that you get to spend time with the gorgeous Talanah :D

Am I the only one not using a mount? I run everywhere, and use fast travel to camps if it's the other side of the map.

Do the same with Skyrim too...
