But right off the bat do any of you guys experience bad draw distance (esp on grass), flashy shadows, texture pop ins including bush's sometimes disappearing and reappearing and lots of shifting textures on sides of cliffs etc, and environment shadows (from the clouds) that move as your Aloy moves?

Nope. Checked and confirmed resizable bar is disabled.
LOL I've tried 4 nvidia drivers now, including the newest and the last known one that worked on my 3070 (one from back in June).
I have a looooooooong list of things I've done, my only option is to start replacing parts (I think). Which is odd, because they all seem to work (no BSOD or crash).
How do I change LOD options? Regardless, I should need to on fresh Windows/gpu drivers. Arg.
I really REALLY wanna reset the mobo bios but I can't as then I THINK my 5800x will no longer be supported.
I might ask someone in cpu forums here if they know that, as it was after I did bios I had issues, or not long after.
Bios 2606 is the first bios for your board that supports the 5800x.

How do people get in to this game I just find it boring as hell and don't get why it gets such good reviews.
I thought the same to be honest, I do love the game, but mostly for the world and graphics with the insane detail... Well I did until I got the glitches above lol.
I thought the story was very thin, npcs never do anything (no real cut scenes, just people standing and using the same animations). Fighting all those awesome robots though? Game of the year maybe not but come on man it's pretty cool, even if unrealistic

To be honest I've only had fights with the little robots ! Should I learn to fight the big ones and then does the game become fun ? I may give it another blast
Depends what you call fun, if you don't like open world exploration, lots and lots of running through (imo) a crazy detailed world, and if you're after more of a story driven game, don't bother.
The action and fights with the bigger mechs is hella fun, not sure that's worth putting 50hrs+ into alone though?
Quite a lot of massive ones out there. Some great ones in the DLC as well. They can be very aggressive. My favourite will always be taking on the Ravagers and Stalkers.
As for the story, it was somewhat slow at the start. It picks up. Some great sections after the midway point that was kind of cinematic.
I hadn't noticed any of those issues but you seem to be on steep hillsides for a fair few so I tried that and I was able to replicate the lod issue up on a snowy cliff. I am not that far into the game so I cannot see a way in to the grave hoard yet. Looks beautiful on the OLED though
