Horrible Accident

Very impressive mate, you did all you could which is all that matters,

all we can do is hope that they make a full recovery.

Mate, well done to you. Takes balls to do that and many wouldn't know what to do in that scenario, myself included.

Just a couple of things that confuse me though. Seems odd that after such a horrific incident, straight after that you leg it to the Interwebz and do a post on a GTX295 as soon as you get back, with some smillies too: 11.22am http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17953680&highlight=username_psychas

Also, the following is pretty light hearted shortly after: 11.27am http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17732710&highlight=username_psychas&page=146

Maybe it was the vallium that knocked you out for the next 5 hours or so before you posted this, but hats off, putting that post toghether after 2 of those is an equally valiant effort!

I'm not taking the ****, just seems a bit odd coz I remeber reading your posts yesterday. I'll let you off though coz your my new hero :D

I agree. I refer the OP specifically to paragraph 2.1.4 of the FAQ which states: "After saving a life, members are not permitted to make light-hearted posts within 48 hours of the incident. This rule is punishable by permanent banning."

Because we all know that getting lost in a dicussion of computers and gfx cards is the worst possible way to take your mind off real life events

You saved that kid's life by the sound of it. Damn good work!

Well done too for not freezing up or panicing. I hope I'd do the same if I were in that situation.

i dont know if they alright as the village 50 miles away were i live im passing trough there tommoroz i ask peaps and take pics

If any person I know had done what you did, I would be buying them pints right now mate.

Just remember that today you saved someone's life, there's nothing more rewarding in the world.

Wow, posting on a forum after helping someone down with him we say.

I thought this would be in the news by now?

I thought the same. Accidents like this in Ireland are usually plastered all over the news, especially one where a mother is killed and her son survives after being rescued. There's nothing on RTÉ.

Where did this happen psychas?

I can remember when people were saying the same thing about another accident in Ireland and it wasn't in the papers.
Some posters really tore into the OP when he claimed his brother had cut his daughters legs off with a lawnmower and it turned out to be true.
