How about a Linux gallery?

Not a lot going on at the moment since it's a new install and I haven't used Linux for aggggeeeessss. Still enjoying playing around in Ubuntu :)

Here's mine, Ubuntu 8.10 with Dust theme and Oxygen icon theme, all from gnome-look.org. I really don't remember where I found the wallpaper, bah! :o

Nice, and with compiz settings it looks awesome too. Too bad the effects run smoother on my 2 years old laptop (8500 nvidia) rather than my relatively new desktop (4870 ati).

Sorry mate - nothing even nearly that low-res... but I'm sure you can re-size the original ;)

thanks for the pic - saved :D

Also... some others you might like :)

That is a nice theme, I'd like to know what you've got on there. There's so much chance for customisation with Ubuntu, it's awful when so many people use that brown. They should randomise on every install so people get different things!

Care to spill the beans on the theme your using brummie? (im impressed with ubuntu 9 but i really dont like the normal brown...) ;)

Where to begin.... :)

The desktop wall is a coloured background with a tinted png in front so you can set it to whatever colour you want. I used #000000

The clock and eth0 counter are from screenlets.

The panel again has a png mask on it to make it see through.

The icons are Black-White 2 gloss from http://www.gnome-look.org/

I swapped the metacity theme for emerald and use the Glass ubuntu theme from http://www.compiz-themes.org

oh and i use the gnome-main-menu from synaptic
