*** How to obtain a bike license ***

Theory tonight after work. I feel I've done plenty of mock tests and seem to be passing them every time so fingers crossed. I just have a nagging feeling that I'll fail it though.

Assume that if I don't post in this section of the forum again I've failed and I was too embarrassed to say a driver of 6 years has failed their theory test.

Good luck! It's easy :)

Good luck, you'll ace it. :) Just remember, don't click too many times in one go and take your time with the questions, you have 50 minutes so relax :)

Phew, I passed! 47/50 for the theory and 61/75 for the H&P part.

Did any one else find the H&P section terrifying? Not because it was difficult but the way it was all very poorly made CGI and all the way cars and especially people moved just looked really strange.

Oh well, I'll be calling up a few local training places tomorrow to look at Mod1 training. :)

Well done buddy. :)

Yeah the Theory training center isn't really up to date, the videos aren't very clear either!

Any idea how many days you are going to go for when you do your DAS? :)

Yeah the could do with sprucing up a little bit! Glad i got it out of the way though.

I'm not sure really. Unfortunately because of where I work I'm unable to book time off during the week. When I was doing my CBT last month my instructor said 1 or 2 days training would be more than enough. I'll book up a day training and see what they say. I'm in no rush to get my license (so I say now lol) so I guess it'll take as long as it takes :)

No I think you're right, or at the least you have to pay significantly more.

I work as a Network admin in a school and they are very against letting me have time off during term. They want me to take my holiday during school half terms BUT that's the time I'm my busiest lol

Does anyone know if you can take your tests before your bday? I wouldn't mind taking my tests 3 months before my bday. :p

Lol that's unfortunate, what about the first 2 days of the Christmas holiday? When do the schools break up?

Don't think it works like that haha! Book your mod1 and mod2 on your birthdat, you know you want to :D You gotten the theory done yet?

I thought its the same, as it is in Poland were you can take your test 3 months before your bday...

I can't book it on my bday, as its on Sunday. I'll have to look into booking my theory, not sure if I can do it now? I only just passed my car theory not that long ago, that doesn't count does it?

Nope you need the bike one and you should be able to book that now as you need it for your A1 licence which you can take at 17.

The company I called on Friday didn't answer so I left them a message. I should've tried again today but I was a bit too distracted with Fallout 4 (game is brilliant!) so I'll call
Them up on my lunch break tomorrow hopefully

Called them up today. I'll call another during my lunch.

They gave me two options:

£175 for 1 day training and the test fee - or £275 with 2 days training and test fee.

Earliest Saturday is 19th December :(

Assuming mod 1 is very similar to the CBT I found all the slow speed stuff pretty easy and didn't put a foot down all day. How much difference is it with a 600cc bike which probably weighs significantly more?

Has anyone else done a DAS with no real prior experience other than a 125cc CBT? How did they find the transition?
