So insight selling them for £200 now? Can't see HP being happy about that no?

Why would they be bothered? People can sell them for what they want. It's not like Insight will be claiming the credit refund from HP.

Just tried to order from Insight. Was unhelpfully told 'they've been removed from our website and our internal system so we must have none left'. Didnt seem convinced as about 2mins ago a post went up saying the had 70 or so 16GBs.

Really annoyed....again!

just spoke to them and they still have stock 16@ 149.99 +20% vat ftl

Id ring back lol, so funny how everyone always get muddled info from the csrs :P

I'm sure DSG and others would have made £50+ per unit if they were allowed to price it higher.

The rule was if they sold for £89/£115 then they could claim the wholesale difference back from HP as a credit.

If they sold for higher than that, then no credit was due. Staples are apparently in dispute with HP as they sold @ £89/£115 PLUS vat. Naughty, naughty.

Exactly, HP had structured it so that either DSG return all stock or sell it at those prices. They can't be too happy with Insight somehow getting around this.

There's an update on ITProPortal confirming that there won't be any new TouchPad stock arriving in the UK. (http://www.itproportal.com/2011/08/23/89-hp-touchpad-tablet-stock-sale-update-30-uk-retailers)

"1100, 31st of August : Does it make any sense for Samsung to buy WebOS, the operating system that powers the Touchpad? We say no. We've heard that the Insight is selling the TouchPad to business customers for £153 + VAT with an additional £11 for delivery. Just off the phone with HP PR. They have confirmed that there won't be ANY new TouchPad stock in the UK. HP will bring out more tablets for North American customers but none of these will land in EMEA through the usual channels."

I have a question for the dodgy hp link people.

Is it still showing as {TPL.IDorderdetail.itemname}, online for you? Just curious really to see if we're all in the same boat.

Insight bought thier stock from an independant wholesaler, not from HP. The wholesaler obviously figuired out there was more profit to be had selling on to insight than returining the stock to HP.

HP have no say in the matter.

Already mentioned this morning, still showing 'in progress' but money has been returned to my credit card (i.e. the 5 days timeout).

But the wholesaler must have had stock bought at higher prices though.

Not really - terrible screen.

They all do - even for the orders that have been completed and delivered*

*Remember, it's not really a dodgy link, it's for HP employees - those employees who got in early enough have had their orders fulfilled.

My order is on backorder eta 16/09/2011 and I've just had an email to my HP.com email address asking me to confirm I'm a HP employee - stated if no response within 48 hrs the order will be cancelled.
