They all do - even for the orders that have been completed and delivered*

*Remember, it's not really a dodgy link, it's for HP employees - those employees who got in early enough have had their orders fulfilled.

It wasn't for employees. It was a link to the normal HP shop. It was "dodgy" only because it was priced incorrectly.

I feel annoyed at myself for caving, I would not of paid £190 on ebay, but from a shop I did give in.. daft as that sounds..

I honestly wanted to wait, but when the internet went mad for it and Insight sold out in 5 mins shows there is a crazy appetite for this tablet.. even @ £200...

It depends how you look at it I suppose, have I got a £200 saving or paid 100% more than I needed to...

I think I am somewhere in the middle, I was going to just go for the Sammy, but the missus wants the 3 year old boy to be able to use it, so I thought if it gets broken at £200 it is very annoying, if it gets broken at £400 it is very very annoying and a claim on the contents insurance.

Crazy logic I know

100% more than you need to, and also if it gets broken at £200, then there's slim to none chance of you getting a replacement :(

This is how I see it.... Of course it's 100% more. They were available at 100% less, so obviously you paid 100% more.

Remember the 'fake' We Are Electricals sale that they blamed on Equanet keeping back for their staff? Well, this was actually true. Equanet offered the devices to their staff on Friday (I know someone who works there) on a 1-per person offering. Equanet then sold their remaining 16GB models at 10:30am this morning for £74.17+VAT (so £89). I called at 11:45 and they had just sold out. Not too bothered as I already have one :)

There's a lot of tension in this thread today.

Everyone seems to be getting arsey.... wonder if the lack of touchpad is getting to people now :D

I have a question for the dodgy hp link people.

Is it still showing as {TPL.IDorderdetail.itemname}, online for you? Just curious really to see if we're all in the same boat.

Mine showed (touchpad 16gb) until I phoned them and they said it was cancelled then it went to {TPL.IDorderdetail.itemname} and they cancelled the paypal payment

Why did no one hear about this or post it?

Exactly my thoughts. Can only assume that since it was already sold out by the time the poster caught wind that there was little point is stirring us all up.

True.

I'm also beginning to think there are a lot more Touchpads floating about. Every day we hear "That's it. NO MORE!!", but yet every day some retailer manages to sell like 600 more.... I honestly don't know what to believe anymore.....

lets say you had £200 to spend on a tablet, would you get the Touchpad 32GB or is there anything else better in that price bracket?

It'd still be a touchpad.

The touchpad is realistically a £250 tablet - anything less makes it a good deal. The lower the price the better the deal ofc :-)

it is under warranty and HP have said they will honour all warranties, and the ones that arrived faulty on HOtdeals HP have told them they either repair or replace.

I am not entirly sure I agree with you, as 3 weeks ago it was £400, ok so now it is £89...

I can not remember where I heard it but I read somewhere where they wrote the value of something is what people are willing to pay for it, not what the person before them paid for it.

I think I have paid exact market value as we currently stand
