Interesting... I presume all the 'free' (0.00) ones were 'gifts' as a contract inducement, or something?

Surprisingly few around the £89 mark though, although it does look as if someone paid £400 for one!

It would be interesting to see a similar chart for the 32GB models.

Sorry, couldn't be bothered to clean up the data. Spurious points are mostly sales that didn't complete, or mis-categorised items.

Best way to look at this is too imagine a curve through the major points.

IMO, the edge has fallen off the price, so can be had for £185-200 with shipping, but expect to pay in that ballpark for now.

Well just bought kalemsoft and its streaming avatar in 1080p from my pc wireless fine and a couple of other hd films I tried.

Well impressed. Just can;t get it to work remotely through my firewalls yet. :(

You need to open TCP ports 7000 - 7001.

You have to open them on your local machine (e.g. Windows Firewall) to stream over your local network. Open them on your router to stream across the internet.

Been following this thread for a while now. Managed to bag a couple of 32gb touchpads a couple of weeks back when they came back online at John Lewis. Kept one for myself and gave the other to my mate who works for HP but missed out on the original firesale for employees.

Been very impressed with pad so far especially webos. Showed my dad at the weekend and he really wanted one. Tried a few carphonewarehouses stores yesterday for him but had no luck.

Anyway I had a link in my google history from a couple of week back (during the crazy firesale) that I checked last night about 5pm and to my surprise it showed 32gb touchpads in stock (roughly 5k units) at £109 each.

Decided to give it a go and successfully bought a 32gb one which I'm selling to my dad, told a couple of mates about it and then bought another for my sister. The touchpads disappeared from the site at about 5:45 and none of my mates were able to get one. I got a confirmation email for both pads shortly afterwards.

One order was accepted last night and I got the shipping email today. To my surprise city link tried delivering whilst I was at work today so I've just got back from collecting it from the depot.

The other touchpad order was accepted this morning so hopefully will be shipped tonight for delivery on Monday.

It looks like touchpads are still about and maybe Hp will do another round of sales in the UK.

The link I used which my mate originally sent is here: http://h40059.www4.hp.com/uk/homelaptops/internal/?range=HP TouchPad

From the linked T&Cs

Thanks

I've got a pension with them if that counts...

Yep, it is confirmed, stock @ 3am, for the really dedicated, dont think it was 1 per person either, so they would have been snapped up by someone buying a bulk load I expect..

I feel for all the people who had their orders cancelled by amazon with the promise "we will not be getting anymore stock"

Amazon IMO is probably the best online retailer in terms of the whole package, but they dont half get it wrong sometimes

Back to £288 on there again now! :(

Out of interest, does anyone know what price they were asking for these?... What a stupid time to release them though!

Firesale prices. I must say I never would have thought of checking amazon at this stage tbh.

I think I am going to keep an eye on comet, they have been very quiet, too quiet...

I'm monitoring comet too ... funny thing is that one of the touchpads was marked as "discontinued" while the other one as "out of stock" (could see these as I have them in "recently viewed" list)
