Exactly it was a 1 in a million freak accident, the odds of a spring falling off a car bouncing back up the track at just the right velocity to hit a driver behind in the head must be huge!What the hell are they going to do, bar make f1 a closed vehicle championship.
This is a racing accident, the drivers know they put their lives at risk when racing.
Now the health and safety muppets will be out and will try to ruin f1 more.
I expect their answer will be lower speeds....
Sticking a roof on the cockpit would be more dangerous than leaving them open imo, if the car caught fire and the roof got stuck or damaged in a crash trapping the driver, not to mention risks of banging your head against it in an accident.
