Yes, it's expected to be a major hurricane on landfall ie. cat 3 or higher.

My partner has family out in Orlando at the moment at the resorts. They've not been told to evacuate as of yet so are expecting to just see it out.

That path even gets us here!

Met has generally been accurate on these things, but the path and strength is still not 100% nailed down and amongst other things depends a lot on the behaviour of the low pressure currently over us - if it breaks down earlier than modelled Kirk will likely come further north than the current predicted path and vice-versa, interaction with weather systems as it gets closer may even maintain the force of the winds for longer as it approaches.
