Hurricane Helene / Milton

I have family in Florida, but thankfully they’re in Delray Beach, well south of Milton’s expected path, so should avoid the worst of it, this time. It’s a lovely place to visit, with the beaches, the intracoastal, the bars and restaurants, but I just don’t know why you’d stay there with that sword of Damocles dangling over your head for months of every year. What they pay out for insurance mist be absolutely eye watering, I’ve just never really wanted to ask, as I imagine it might be a bit of a sore point.

those cars all stopping as the 'nado passes over. jesus
The advice is to stop and basically pray

If you are caught in the tornado

If you are caught by extreme winds or flying debris, park the car as quickly and safely as possible – out of the traffic lanes. Stay in the car with the seatbelt on. Put your head down below the windows, and cover your head with your hands and a blanket, coat or other cushions if possible.
