Hey piggy.

Now working on that doc for you to take a look at later. :D

As for work - don't stress. Just remember where you're going to be next year earning more money and doing..well..who knows *well..apart form Desmo. ;) :p*

Also - Alton Towers! :D

Just do it for the money...don't do it for the users *I found that wanting to help people was wrong with Fujitsu* - there was a regular call at Fujitsu between the Helldesk staff - Think of the money!!

Nope because then I will get Disciplined ( sp ) for call avoidance

Can't you just fob them off so it don't look so bad? like get them to do something and then say Now just reboot and it will be fine! goodbye and end the call?

Cant you do the old trick of "Hang on while I transfer you to another department..." and then hang up after putting them on hold for a few mins?

Piggy, I think somebody like you would be much better working with the customer directly, face to face.

I get a good sense of achievement when the customer turns round to me after a sale and says thank you very much your really helpful. Or wonders off to tell my boss that I helped them out.

When I have reviews in work management always comment on my very high level of CS.

I think you are a wasted talent in what you do and should move into retail or sales or something along those lines. Customer support in a shop?

I have lost the plot .. it's official :o

This morning I took a call and was coming up to about 20 mins .. I couldn't do it any quicker and I was getting stressed so I burst into tears and chucked my headset :o

I've been listening to a team member's calls this morning to see how they can do it quicker than me .. Not really helping :/

As soon as I see the call time getting to 10 mins I'm getting all stressed and worked up :(

I've just been on Tesco's website as apparantly they pay quite well but there is nothing there

It's pretty poor when they buddy you in with someone else, must be really demotivating. Get some space, either by taking holiday or getting signed off. You sound like you are reaching the dreaded burnout stage.

It would be worth explaining this to your managers if you're on the way out, they can't sack you for stress and some of them might actually give a toss. Most likely they'd be more concerned about the expense of training a replacement though.

I work in a team of around 6, 2 of us are level 2, the rest level 1. My team were hired in April last year. Myself and the other level 2 guy remain. We've had a total of 11 agents leave, that's quite a bit for a year. It costs around £2.5k to recruit and train a new agent, that's money they could be spending on making the working environment better for others.

Start searching for somewhere else to go, have you considered retail? Maybe something that you already have a lot of knowledge in, like (cringes) the purple shirts brigade. It'll be an alright temp job, at least until you can get a better job.

Ack :(
Others have echoed what I think, but as a desperate try if Tesco aren't recruiting how about Somerfield? Or any of the stores in Fforestfach? There's tons of them, surely someone must be recruiting :/
It'd be a hell of a lot less stressful for you than NTL!

Just one other suggestion, what about temp work? :)
Lots of temping agencies along the Mansfield road in Swansea, been considering signing up for one myself.

Edit - Have a feeling I've got the street name completely wrong :o But there is a street full of em :D

I used to work for Software company and did Tech Support.

At one point, I was the only one on the Desk (covering 400 sites) and did it whilst my Dad was being diagnosed with terminal cancer. The average number of calls left over each day was 15 (less than when we had a full desk).

I asked for a payrise in the New Year and I was told I wasn't pulling my weight. I wasn't happy .. I started looking for work soon after that.
