I have 1GB of DDR1 RAM is it possible to gain access to Crysis ultra high settings?

So, you went for the dig your way out the hole aproach then anyway....

Seriously, your unbeliveable. Settings in nVidia control panel does not mean its on in game (as youve been told, repeatedly), the benchmark tool is not pointless, and you cant even tell what your game isnt running at native res! If you think wating 5 seconds for the game to catch up every time you walk round a corner is accespatable and 15fps is fully playable, then you are in trouble.

Damn those frame rates are bad deffenitly not smooth as in any case :p.

An example even a high end rig cant play crysis with AA as I get 27fps overall average at 1280x1024 4xAA & 8xAF. In XP can add 3-5fps to that.

guys, i am going to do another test within the next few days

i think running the benchmark at 1280x1024 at 4xFSAA is a waste of time, why? Because the whole point is i basically want to tell people that you can run the game on a budget very well. I am going to do the benchmark at 1280x720 with high settings, v sync off, and no AA and no AF. This way people don't have to have max settings on but are still able to play the game decently.

1280x1024 all high simple as..

Pentium D's are just steaming piles of turd.

Theres nothing good about a rubbish designed CPU and then strapping on another rubbish designed CPU to make it "dual-core"...

I wanted to see a 3.2Ghz Pentium 3 dual core  That would kick a 3.2Ghz Pentium D from what I've heard :D.

You do realise that you are actually proving that you DO need a powerful rig to play the game with acceptable frame rates and smooth performance!

You just chat bull all the time. I think you're missing the point of our (everyone else on ocuk) arguement. The fact is that you have COMPLETELY changed the settings from the start of this thread, you've made yourself look like a complete idiot. I really think you should just give up you just look really pathetic.

Yeah you are proving quite nicely what everybody has been saying and that is that you can't play crysis on that budget rig at a reason frame rate on a res anyone plays games at. It's been a very long time since I've gone ooo 1280x720 that's a good res to be playing this game on. Considering the main reason to play crysis in my eyes is to go oooo look how pretty that is, doing it at 1280x720 is just a waste of everyone's time.

Thank you for taking a very long amusing route to confirm what every one else knew quite a long while ago.

Run it at 1920x1080, everything to very high, 4XAA and 16XAF.

that was when i was guessing the fps without using any fps counter, i it just felt like that fps from what my eyes were seeing, i have explained this before.

And guys no i am not proving that my rig is crap, my rig is excellent i am able to play this game perfectly well, and i recommended anyone to get my system and play it and you will see, i will make a video on this.

And i can see from the way this thread has turned out, you guys just sit here and chat rubbish all day long, you try to prove that your systems is better than others and really you spend so much money on your rigs which i find absolutely pointless.

Oh dear dvdbunny a sore loser are we? I must admit you are very entertaining :)

Your PC - well, your graphics card - is better than mine.
I buy the cheapest, most overclockable components, and upgrade only when I can no longer play the games I like.
My e-penis, as it were, really isn't that huge.

However, I still find this thread hilarious :D

Sorry to break your heart but you chat rubbish, you clearly are not able to play the game well on high you even gave us benchmarks unless you like playung sub 30fps none stop. I posted my system benchmark and yes my system is slightly better than yours but what I was trying to point out is that even a good system like mine cant even play it well. And I even have 4GB of ram.

No one is going to buy a system these days with an old Pentium D that is basically 2 Pentium 4's stuck together and have 1GB of ram in, the minimum for a budget system now is a Pentium dual core E2140 which clock very well and are faster than Pentium D's or AMD X2 3800+ for AMD systems IMO, 2GB is also the standard now but way things are going 3Gb + will be soon.

DVDBUNNY> Next time, you had best stay away from making rash figure claims without having run any tests etc :)

The game does look very nice but with an 1280*1024 on high with NO AA, even on my system it chugs and feels 'sluggish' at times.

Can you clarify a point here... when you say it takes ay 5 seconds to load, do you mean it pauses and then your able to continue, or do you mean everything in the scene takes a while to load up, but you can still move around? The only time it physically pauses for me (that I can remember) is on the US Ship when when the admiral is giving 2 talks in the briefing room. It pauses and then the voice and video go all out of sync.

Chalk this one down to experience on the way NOT to approach such claims next time :) You will avoid the critical flaming you've received.

Anyway, just glad you enjoy the game and have you tried overclocking your system and gfx card yet?

Matthew
