i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

i have been searching the net last night for hardware to help people like myself. some of the things are like £500-900+, i for one don't have that kind of money. surely if the hardware is to help people like myself, it some be priceed at a reasonable price?

maybe i'll ask my social worker tomorrow to see if they can do anything.

Gareth, perhaps it would be helpful to start looking at custom options available? I was overwhelmed by the video and, with your permission, would like to motion toward donations via one of our mods. Is this something you'd be open to? I'm sure OcUK would like to help you find the best bit of kit for your needs

I'm sure this has been suggested somewhere already, but surely there is a .config or an .ini file somewhere in the dead space 2 folders that would have the coding for the controls?

Yes, but the lad can't be expected to go through and edit an ini file every time he buys a new game. Either we need to start a campaign for devs & publishers to be clearer about the way games may be played, or we need to have a proper hardware & software solution to work with games released.

Im certainly not saying that ;) I would imagine most games however do have customizable control options built in, but in an attempt to get this working for him, perhaps someone could have a look and send him a modified file?

Absolutely support this 100%. Let me be the first to pledge a donation towards helping Gareth sort his control scheme woes. Let no game go unplayed from now on due to dodgy, un-remappable keys!

yes..

i'm open to all thoughts/ideas and to make gaming easyer in games that don't support fully custom configuration

You never know chap!

the hacked drivers are out there which show the potential. If MS release official ones who knows what people will do with them!
it would be a great idea if they did tbh....
Did you have any luck over the the dead space forums?
i've been at hospital for most of the afternoon so not had time to post it yet. i'm gonna eat now then post it, :)

I meant to ask you Gareth, apart from your key re-mapping problem, how does Dead Space 2 run on your rig? I've been thinking about picking it up myself but have read that the game has quite a few issues on PC. Any perfrmance issues you've noticed?
