i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

I agree, it's a shame they didn't include the reason why it was posted. Maybe they just saw it on youtube and not the thread?

Hope they update it with a bit more info about this :)

They link Gareth's EA forum post on the Kotaku article. Maybe the article's author was browsing the EA forums, or perhaps one of the EA forums users/mods notified the author.

Regardless, this is awesome! The more people are made aware of the horrible limitations some games impose on disabled gamers, the more chance we have of changing the way control schemes are implemented.

I'm sure some devs must occasionally read some of these sites, so the more addresses we hit the greater chance of success we have.

All approved by Gareth of course :)

Ah I see the bit at the bottom now. They have edited that in then. Nice

@Gareth

First of all, I'm so glad you can enjoy the games you like (mostly...apart from DS 2) and as many people have said, it's truly amazing :)

Second: What mouse do you currently have? I've read most of the thread, but didn't notice anything with that mentioned...

Keep playing the games you love

Nicely done getting on Kotaku, all we need to do is get a little awareness spread and we might see some results similar to the Xbox guy received.

Either that or get Gareth some custom kit which makes his gaming experience a little easier than it is now!

Hi mate I don't think I've ever seen anything as amazing as this. Hats of to you sir you are a true inspiration.

I know this is out of your budget range but I recently purchased
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-024-ST

The mouse is huge, biggest mouse I've ever had, it has your normal left and right click, then buttons on the outside of the left and right click, then buttons either side of the scroll weel, then the press down scroll wheell and a button behind it. So in total you have 8 buttons on top not including scroll up/down but I'm not sure how you could get on with scrolling. The mouse goes up to 5,000 DPI also.

Also like has been said foot pedals are great mate.

Jeez three times I have posted on Kotaku. Despite successful activation I still can't see my post. I'm not doing well at the moment.

that mouse looks cool as it has lot of buttons on top, but only only one problem is the size of it... is it much bigger than a normal mouse?

I was wondering...If he has ever thought about using a USB foot button or two for example...But not understanding his condition entirely I can't remember if he has use of his legs
my legs move around a lot when i'm concentrating on something, e.g gaming..

sorry if my spelling wrong, :o

Ah okay :(....Shame, could have been useful for walking etc or shooting

So going by your mouse now it isn't actually that big? Is it the size / width of the mouse that stops you using certain ones then because they are harder to move?

I would say yes it is larger, the top part of the mouse is slightly larger than a normal mouse but it is the base of the mouse which is the large part.

If you want I can take pictures from the top and from the bottom comparing it to the logitec G5 when I get home - I would say the G5 is a normal size mouse.

Just let me know mate :)
