If you use V-power

Just take the flexi time, public sector are considerate like that ;)

What are you going on about? I know loads of people who work in the private sector and some companies over this to their staff as well, so please stop going on about how it's only the public sector that get flexi time.

Also can I point out that not all public sector places offer flexi and the ones that do, may not be offering it to all staff.

Calm yourself.

I've just had to use 95 RON from a Total garage, its the first time I've used anything but V-Power in what must be over 18 months, I use it because I like to think it keeps the engine in better condition than cheaper fuels but I was surprised that after a run on the motorway the car feels lethargic and has what feels like flat spots when giving it beans

It will do, your ECU is mapped to produce the power it does only when it has the right fuel available. Turd fuel means it'll change the timing, meaning less power... It'll take a tank or two to put it right as well :(

For this reason alone i'm holding off until the last minute possible to try and find some V-Power.

shell are having a laugh, £1.51.99 for v-power!.....

ill just wait till this blows over...

I live a couple of houses from a Total garage and was wondering why all this mass queueing wasn't happening there til I looked at the prices....149.9p for regular unleaded. Ha! Hopefully I won't be paying that when I decide to go fill up since I have just under 2 gallons left. All depends if the usual supermarkets have anything and no queues.

Cant put tesco 99 in my car and it runs rubbish on 95.
Tesco 99 has 5% ethanol which means you shouldnt really but it in a peugeot xu engine

Just come back from Shell and they had no fuel whatsoever apart from V-Power which I had to wait 45 minutes for. A few people trying to jump the queue and tempers flaring. They wanted payment up front which they never wanted at this station before.

As above :)
Yeah to be honest I'm sure it will be fine. I know of someone who runs nitrogen in their race car with a Xu.
I replaced the seals a while back and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they were far better than originals as they were from Mrinjector.
I still have the lines to worry about but I guess I could get braided ones.

I ran a couple of tanks of momentum through my 23 year old golf a while back and it never did any harm, although it was only in the tank for about a week.

No V-Power here either, Tesco had Momentum 99 and no queue. I only prefer V-Power as the Shell station is much closer, can't tell the difference between V-Power and Momentum 99 to be honest. My car is a Japanese import so it is set up for 98RON fuel so I have to use V-Power/Momentum 99 to avoid knocking issues.
