It's hardly insult of the century, I called him a smartass becuase he said Imprezas's were common when we were talking about how popular a Flat Four engine is. It's not exactly big deal of the decade, is it? Countless worse things are said in SC every day.

Obviously we are talking about performance Skylines though (GTR/GTS/GTT), but even then in stock form I would still take an EVO or a Scoob STI/T25 etc, as stock Skylines aren't the fire-breathing beasts people think they are. Hell, in stock form I'd rather have my 'teg
If however I was going to create an absolute silly power monster, it would be an R32 GTR, no question.

Hardly, I've just got too much to say about everything. The real genius's in this forum are a tad quieter.
There is a distinct difference between treating somebody 'like crap' and calling someone a smartass for trying to be clever.
Without a doubt it is abosolutely and definitely the skyline GTR 34 vspec 2 nur, that is it in terms of looks, handling and power and it's also very exclusive. You hardly see r34 gtrs on the road as it is let alone a nur or z-tune (which is the best gtr 34 ever made). It has a legacy behind and it's also one of the most iconic cars of all time.
The gtr is a circuit car with a straight 6 twin turbo where as the other 2 are rally cars with 4 cyclinders and single turbo, so they're a bit different. So for me it'd be clearly the Z-Tune/Nur > 9 FQ360 MR/6 TME > RB22/P1 and incidently also goes that way down in price roughly.
I think some people are getting carried away with the sound the exhaust makes. A V8 muscle engine, now that's a sweet noise.

has anyone seen the new GTR pics in like Nuts or whatever it is this week? looks the absolute dogs danglies. twin bonney vents etc! awesome presence.
i really wish people wouldnt put a born and bred touring car up against two rally bred gravel eating monsters.
Id take an R34 GT-R anyday of the week. Purely because to me, it is the epitomy of Japanese engineering. Technologically advanced for its generation, plenty of power in stock form, immense handling and tunablity like you wouldnt believe.

I've only seen the tokyo motorshow one, which is the proto i think? I have to say the look is a grower that i think in time i will come to like, however it looks nothing as cool as the concept drawing, but tbh nothing ever does.
I've also seen a mock i think it was on a japnese mag, possibly photoshopped however i didn't want to believe it was because it looked so good, like a supercar rather than a sporty coupe. I'll have to get some scan of it, i'll borrow the mag off a mate at some point.
