Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

The Steam version has a fullscreen option. Another weird Gamepass difference it seems.

I noticed from googling it seems to be only the gamepass version :(

I may leave the game till they fix it or when it on a steam sale
But really no want to have to buy it on steam when i already pay £15 per month for gamepass games which they would get money from.
And would feel like i paying out twice to play the exact same PC game

Yeah my Gamepass sub expires in Feb and I don't think I'm going to be bothering to renew it. This isn't the first instance of the Gamepass versions of stuff being broken or otherwise gimped and I just can't be bothered at this point.

Is the story really good, if you're like me and love the movies anyway?
I'd say so. I'm a big fan of the 3 movies and this just feels like another movie in video game form.

Best Indy story since Fate of Atlantis for sure.

See I even like the last 2 movies, so hopefully will love this. Going to get it over Christmas :)

There's a slight image breakup/tearing when camera panning for me when I use path tracing with Dlss on my 4070 super. Anyone else get this? My fps is good, it's just that. Maybe I'm using the wrong sync option.

Edit: changing the vsync to a setting other than off improved it. Game looks incredible. Have very high hopes for doom the dark ages from a visual perspective after seeing this.

Started playing this today. It's actually quite good. I have it on gamepass and it's like an old style adventure game.
It a surprising title which I really like. Quite possibly one of the best games I have seen in a long while. I didn’t expect to like nor did I know anything about it. If I had seen trailers and reviews it might of gotten my hopes up high only to be disappointed.

For the most part I have found the performance pretty good. And even though I fairly indifferent to ray tracing and path tracing I quite liked how it was implemented in this game.

Just got the game and decided to max it out (supreme) to see what my system could do ( DLSS / FG )

In the wooded area I was getting around 70+fps, caves 110+... However cutscenes are the biggest fps loss sometimes at 45-60.

VRAM hovering around 15.8GB or below. Which is fine on my 16GB 4080 super

Identical to me, except cut scenes seem to not drop below 60 fps.

I think the cutscenes are capped to 60.

my 3090 was doing fine with max settings and all path tracing maxed out right up until the Thailand stage.... but this area is killing my fps to the point of being borderline unplayable.

And now I'm browsing GPU prices on the web and going over the conversation with my missus in my head.

for anyone going after 100% notes and photos when you get to
make sure in shanghai you get all seven artifacts and photos because a fire happens half way through and i could not get back to get the few things i missed
unless after completing the game you can go back to the start of each mission.

FG is automatically disabled in the cutscenes which is why the FPS is lower.

The new borderless windowed mode has all the advantages of fullscreen and the old borderless windowed, so this is not necessarily a disadvantage (if they are actually using it).

I would definitely say so, if you are an Indy fan and like story driven games then its a no brainer of a title. I actually think its movie-atmosphere and story are its strongest points, conversely I think its weakest points are the actual "game" side of things, truthfully I think that some of the game aspects are the sorts of game aspects that regularly get slated when Ubisoft does them, yet when its not Ubisoft doing the mechanics its suddenly deemed to be ok (more a statement on how biased people are against Ubisoft really, than the actual mechanics) , its a mixed bag of a title for me, superb voiceacting, great story atmosphere, decent graphics but weaker gameplay elements. Overall a good game and it does indeed hark back a little towards the old school "adventure" games.
