Quick join works every time for me. Way too crowded at the moment with only 30% open as while I'm trying to sneak past zombies someone will just run up behind me and one hit kill me to the head
ive just been to the gym and thought id give it another blast, now i cant even join a game i press on a server or quick join and it dosent load then kicks me back to char select screen and says i need to update the client so restart it, but there aint no update.
i read earlier that part of the crashing and d/c'ing is that when you join a server your in till someone else joins and it then boots you out...
v1bez- from the slight bit i played once all the bugs are sorted i think it could be a awesome game, i really like the atmosphere...

Torrent is just the client you need a key to access the game. And I think loads other games have flashlights?
wtf, they even stole the BF3 flashlight?

oh and how awesome there's even an alpha torrent floating about, full rip... So we can steal from them what they stole from others, nice hah
That's good to hear, it does look good but until you try it yourself you never really know.
It was bound to have problems though, i've played both alpha/beta versions of games that have been as bad and they are with much bigger companys. It's times like this when you see how a game will end up, if the devs jump on the issues and fix them asap then it'll show you that they want the game to succeed if they don't it could be a train wreck.

Patch In Coming
1) We try to cover some of the client crashes
2) Flashlight damage nerfed 10 times - opps
3) Respawn time lowered to 1 hour
Overall - once crashes will be fixed, you won't encounter other players spawning so close to you - since what is happening right now is that somebody joins server, xcrashes or get killed, disconnects from server, new guy joins in, oppsy

i think we have already had that patch mate...
could be wrong tho, but im sure when i was downloading the game through the client it said something about a update...

well i finally got it working about half 3 last night, i really like it!
its not dayz and it feels really different.
at first i was dissapointed how few zombies there were but im glad there arent many more because they are damn deadly! 3 hits and your dead. you cant just sprint away like dayz as your stamina runs out. you cant go through buildings or trees as they run just as fast through them.
i love the spiked baseball bat, bludgening zombies and players to death with it is great fun.
ive had it crash several times but it is an alpha so its expected.
bumped into lots of players so far and have around 6 murders under my belt.
tried to be nice and work with a random guy, as soon as my back was turned he started battering me with the flashlight! my spiked bat put an end to him....
managed to loot me a pistol and alice pack of some dead guy.
really like it so far, only thing i dont like is the fact that when you die you have to back right out to main menu to choose a new guy.
when it crashes it classes that you have died! which is just un fair.
still cant wait for dayz standalone but this is really fun so far.

I didn't die when I crashed at lunchtime though? I know I did last night.

Nice little review. The zombie count has been lowered they said because of the 30% map size.
Anybody care to upload the 8.0.3 client install or the game files please to dropbox or similar? - lots of people said they would host the client but must be busy playing !
client is easy to download now as its died down a little
I posted earlier as there is an issue which quite a number of users are experiencing - running the client 8.0.0 (which is on the WarZ website) first launch attempts to update to 8.0.3 which fails as per my previous screenshot

Definitely miss toggle crouch/looking around you from DayZ and the UI isn't the best imo. But could definitely have fun and there are plenty of zombies which some people in here were worried about.
Sounds are epic too, need more variation on the birds though like Arma

I'll stick to staying dark/using my flashlight, feels pretty immersive to me
, need that toggle crouch so bad though.
