I wasn't sure it was worth it at first but from what I've played so far, the £25 cost was a no brainer really. It's not that much and as the game is still in alpha it has a lot of promise really.

Just hope they don't mess it up. They also seem to be quite happy at listening to suggestions too.

Going to start up a clan with a few buddies I think, much more fun working together as a group.
 
I'm gutted! So I found that massive stash and planned to log in and peg it the settlement for GI dump, and I get slotted literally 4 seconds into the game. :(

To be honest, I keep getting killed very easily by players.
 
Join servers with as few players as possible
Stick to the edges of the maps, don't go on the roads
Travel at night if possible. If you have loot and it's day time, check the time by pressing escape and log out in a safe place. Then reconnect once it's dark and continue your journey to the safe zone
Hide, hide and hide unless you have a rifle but even then chances are 50/50

My mate had a back pack full of gear last night. He logged out and waited for me to join a server so that I could get to his location, make sure it was clear, then he spawned and I escorted him back to the safe house.

Right really interested in this and haven't been lucky enough to get one of the alpha keys. How much am I looking at to get alpha access now and roughly how big is the download ? Cheers guys.
 
I'll have two keys spare possibly if my mate buys the game tonight or tomorrow. I'll be happy to give them to people as soon as I know
 
If anyone does have a spare guest pass/ alpha key I would be really grateful if they were able to donate one to me! Been thinking about buying the game for a while now but it would be nice to give it a go first...

I would like to know this as well please. As far as I can see from there website $24.99 gets you the basic package. That's about £16 so worth a punt for me if you get to play now
 
I "believe" you get to play now as I think it's open to everyone. I've bought after the alpha access and I can play.

I bought the Pioneer and have been able to play since my mate lent me a 48 hour pass.

@ the guys without keys, If this style of game interests you at all just buy it I'm sure your love it, almost everyone who plays it does.

You can pick it up for £15 today if you get the survivor pack which gives you full access and ability to play today.

No need to both with the other packs unless you want some ingame money etc.
For £15 you really cant go wrong.

Whats the actual aim of the game though?

Is it just simply another DayZ where you run around aimlessly for a few hours then get killed, rinse and repeat?
