Insurgency Sandstorm - Unreal Engine 4

Have to say it's a great game due to limited time these days I love how I can just pick it straight up and get into the action and at 20 odd quid it's a steal
 
Stutter seems to have gone but have some weird occasions where I can't hear gun sounds from certain guns and sometimes on fresh game start up my weapon isn't showing lol
 
stutter and frame drops are 100 times worse for me after this latest patch :( im getting MASSIVE drops from 60fps (which I have locked it to) down to as low as 6fps! stutter is so bad now the game is unplayable for me :(

even the alpha played better for me than it does now after this patch
 
I've had the game freeze totally twice while in game.
Had a great spot and was mowing people down and controls froze...I could still see people running around etc but couldn't move our open menu etc

Both times had to close game down fully
 
Seems to be rock solid from a stability perspective for me, although I'm not sure whether yesterday's patch came out before I was playing or after. I occasionally get framerate drops when I'd not expect it which can be frustrating but I'm confident they'll get that sorted, it isn't stopping me enjoy the game so far.
The only outright bug I've come across was at the start of a round I didn't spawn, treated as dead until the first reinforcement.

So many awesome guns in the game, found weapons on all classes I've liked and got along well with, plus love that the insurgents can get some better weapons than they could in the original. PKM with holographic sight is probably my favourite right now, but love the mk14ebr too.
 
Massive fan of the original so will be buying into this.
One Q though, are all guns etc available straight away or does it have a stupid COD/BF levelling system in order to falsley simulate a progression mechanic?

Same as the first Insurgency I believe, based on the weight that can be carried, which you get slightly more of throughout the round.
 
Managed a couple of rounds over the weekend - overall it's great fun, especially just for a quick 30-minute blast against the AI.

Doesn't run too great on my system; I'm getting some nasty FPS drops, but this seems quite common from what I've been reading - for £20 I'm very happy.

Hopefully they'll continue to patch and resolves the issues with fluctuating frame-rate.
 
Getting decent framerates, but I am running a 1080ti, so would expect it to run with a much higher framerate. (but keeping at least 60)

Getting issues with my gun not always making a sound, and the screen flickers when I am in smoke. Sometimes when spawning in, it will take a few moments for peoples heads to load, and my gun to load in.

Definitely running a lot better from the closed Alpha, so looking forward to the improvements to come.
 
Must admit, I really like this game. Just wish my PC could handle it better. During explosions or heavy moments in gameplay, still drops from 60 on a GTX 980 at 1440p using Medium settings. :(
