Intel Q3 price drops.

Its true and the bottom model 45nm Quad is EOL, hense it kind of fills its space and the new stepping is said to appear.

Yeah we know what will be happening. It's when it will be happening that we've been waiting for news on.

I must be lucky as my x38 does 480 stable, does 490 aswell not 8hr prime stabled it, got to 3hrs and stopped it couldn't be bothered to go any longer, needs 1.45 in bios though.
I am like Cob run high end custom water, NB, mosfets cooled and a top quality solid copper heatsink on SB.

Yeah mate, guess some of us are luckier than others.
Saying that spent good money to get this far, wouldn't do it on air, no chance around 460, did do 470 when I first got it, but stopped so had to drop to 460.
I only went to a max of 1.6 on NB on air, now use 1.7v
I thought you had a higher spec water loop than you have considering the overclocks you are getting, just goes to show what can be achieved.
I went straight for top end pump, rad etc, so wouldn't have to buy again, could swap my Fuzion for V2 but not dismantling my loop for 1.5 degrees.

For some reason the P5E seems to do a lot better than the Maximus Formula. I couldn't get my MF SE over 440mhz even under water.

Dumped it after 2 weeks and went back to my IP35 Pro and its 480mhz.

I picked it as I didn't want all the extra's a Maximus gives you, as I was gonna be watercooling anyway.
could have done with the NB sensor for temps though

How you got the info from Intel. You have info that no-one else seems to be able to get hold of. Or atleast admit that they've got hold of.

Well to be fair I guess I'm not supposed to release the info, also the E7300 will launch on 10th august (the price piont will be clear for it as the E7200 will have already dropped to replace the E4600). It was late on yesterday and they do like to go through the whole "..this cpu is going to drop xx% and this one xx%" especially when everybody pretty much knows the pricing about a month before it happens :p
