Any item that gets released before reviews are allowed out is usually bad, however we will be getting reviews the day before release like with the GPU launches.

Ah yes I recall it was being released on 20th and had it in my head that was today, fail. That explains why I haven't seen any reviews :)

They are not comparing like for like - Frame Chasers is max OC, he doesn't test stock.

For a stock config there will be a larger difference by the increase in boost clocks on 13900K alone.

Mainstream tech tubers and people who tune their systems are like night and day difference.

He also turned off 16 of the 24 cores of the CPU in his testing, negating much of the benefit of the 13900k vs 12900k.

Yes as they will be turned off in his 12900K so it can reach higher ring clock and frees up L3 for the P cores.

He's not testing productivity just max oc gaming

I'm using my Z690 hero until the z790 apex is available. Strange no news of that, expected something by now. On the Z790 launch day an Asus employee said "soon" in the product unveil video, so it is coming...

No Nick Scott is motherboards.... Pretty sure very low availability on launch and we have afew pre orders..... I dont think anyone will have many if at all for free sale...

thx Ian, ordered one a few weeks ago due to no eta on APEX, if it does not show may just cancel and wait
