K models are unlocked and can be overclocked. KF models are also unlocked but don't have the onboard graphics, so you need a discrete GPU.What the difference between K and KF models?

Im upgrading from an i7 9700, so a new board for me. Bagged an Asus z790 Maximus Hero for £512, so wasn’t worth going for a Z690 board…Curious to know if ordering the 13 series, are you guys keeping it on z690 or going for the z790 as well?
I'm upgrading from Z390 9600K to 13700K; grabbed an MSI Z690 Tomohawk DDR4 for £220 (discount code), no compelling reason for Z790 and DDR5 at the moment for my usage and I can carry over my excellent TeamGroup/8-Pack 32Gb DDR4 RAM.Curious to know if ordering the 13 series, are you guys keeping it on z690 or going for the z790 as well?
I was looking at the MSI boards but ended up getting a Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite DDR4 for £201. Hopefully the Q-Flash doesn’t give me any grief as I don’t have another Intel cpu to boot it up with.I'm upgrading from Z390 9600K to 13700K; grabbed an MSI Z690 Tomohawk DDR4 for £220 (discount code), no compelling reason for Z790 and DDR5 at the moment for my usage and I can carry over my excellent TeamGroup/8-Pack 32Gb DDR4 RAM.
By the time I've sold my old MSI Z390 board and 9600K the upgrade cost is comfortable, for what should be a nice jump in performance.
That’s a good price. Can’t find one for less than £650ish.Im upgrading from an i7 9700, so a new board for me. Bagged an Asus z790 Maximus Hero for £512, so wasn’t worth going for a Z690 board…
I didn’t have to look very hard…That’s a good price. Can’t find one for less than £650ish.
Sure you don’t mean Z690?I didn’t have to look very hard…
Lol, positive…. It’s pre order due for delivery 25th Oct, Z790…Sure you don’t mean Z690?
Same as me, I was tempted by moving over to the Carbon as I got a Suprim x 4090 and you know all same brand..... but i think im going to stick with the Strix z690-F, Lets be honest i will most likely scrub or skip most of the vendor software off once im set up.Pre-ordered mine too i7 13700k as I do a fair bit of productivity task and use a CPU heavy game, else I would have kept my monster of an i7 8700k which is still super.
Mobo I went for an ASUS Strix Z690-F so will have to use the Flashback I liked the Carbon however I wanted two USB C at the back and I did not like the two PCI "5" as one is pointless as it would work x8, I think by the time 5 is relevant new hardware will be out.
I wonder if the chip will be delivered on the 20th or shipped on the 20th, fed up of having boxes all over ha ha

Oh and I've got boxes for days in the spare room.
Does anyone know if the 13900KS will come out soon?
Or is it best to wait till next year for the 14th gen.
What gpu you pairing that with?Pre-ordered 13700KF for £453, I like to save a few quid, frugal me. Components for new itx build completed.
Pairing it with the experimental A770. You would have to wait for reviews, it would likely help with the 4090/4K. Although, if money is no object then why not. What gpu you pairing that with?
I'm thinking whether to do a drop in upgrade from a 12700k to a 13900k for the extra oopmh on a Asus Z690 ITX Strix board but not sure if its worth it even though it would be fairly easy to do.
